Watching u reel I fish is like watching a cowboy at a rodeo lol. I like how you know exactly where to set your drag so that you can fight a fish and the fish can fight back without the hook popping out

Do you ever fish Alameda near the Harbor View Ferry/Dolittle Bridge?
@AndreMull Жыл бұрын
I did a few casts the other day by the ferry. I fish near the bridge sometimes. I haven't really fished there this year but yea.

@@AndreMull Thanks! To catch fish after plants/stocking can be easy BUT to double limit in the Bay on 'butts and stripers takes a super good and knowledgeable fisher. Congratulations!! You are one of the best if not the best!!! It's a thrill to watch and learn from your videos.

Boy!! The water was extremely clear for a day the Bay.
@theoldsurffisher1943 Жыл бұрын
Was the key to your success extremely clear waters?? It's hard to believe that's SF Bay water
@AndreMull Жыл бұрын
Um the water doesn't need to be that clear. But for me halibut are a little tougher to find. They are in and out. I fished the same spot yesterday but this time on my kayak and it seems the fish are still there but out a bit further. I'm thinking maybe warmer weather will bring them back closer to shore.
@theoldsurffisher1943 Жыл бұрын
@@AndreMull Clear water helps some with Halibut they area sight feeders. Temperature is important too.

Nice catches! Double limits from shore?!!? Damn!!! You mind sharing what kinda swimbait you use??
@AndreMull Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The swimbaits I was using for striper were Rage Swimmers. Almost the same as the keitechs. And the swimbaits for Halibut were Wyze guyz tackle.

What’s the setup ? What lb braid are you using ?
@AndreMull Жыл бұрын
20lb braid with a 20lb flouro leader. for striper set up I use vanford reel with a fenwick hmx rod. Halibut set up is a cheap set up I plan to replace.
@skylert1511 Жыл бұрын
how do you avoid snags on that drop shot rig. i just lose my shit every time🤦♂️😭. nice catch’s
@AndreMull Жыл бұрын
lol.. I usually only fish the drop shot in sandy areas or not to rocky area. You have to figure out the areas to find the no snag areas. I snag up sometimes figuring out the areas.
@charliehustle98907 ай бұрын
At least when you lose one in the weeds there isn't a little kid behind you taking a piss looking over his shoulder with chocolate donut on his face and telling you ROOKIIIIIIIE.

Inspiring me to go out tomorrow! Do you go at low tide so that more if the rocks are exposed? Every time I go to spots like this, it’s snag city…
@AndreMull Жыл бұрын
In alameda I prefer low tide. But I fish there high tide sometimes to. I just learned when you are using lures to reel quick when I get closer in before getting snagged.
