Today we went out for halibut but ended up with limits of Striper and a few Halibut along with some brown rock fish, this is part 1 of the 2 part series due to the amount of fish caught, I needed to consider what I wanted to share so enjoy this part 1 of 2 series but the Part 2 should be equally as fun to watch, enjoy...

Striper and Halibut use the same setup to target both species while drifting or bottom dropping: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Main line: 65lb Braided Line Weight: 16oz Balls for drifting is standard, but if current is less than 1mph you can cut that to 8oz when drifting, but 16oz regardless will keep you bouncing bottoms Live Bait leader: CXX Mono 6-8ft of 30-40lb Hooks: Use double hook sliding snail using Size 2/0 Octopus J Hook and Mustad Stinger Size 6 4x strong Treble Style of Fishing (Drifting)(Dropping): under 1-2MPH drifting you should do well just drifting bottoms no engine, if you are under 1MPH might need to use kicker to get you between 1-2MPH to cover more ground through out the day. Spot selection: very much dependent on the tides and the bait, so if you are watching you can always see what we tried that day, good luck! Tip for each outting: Always search for clean water!!! Bait move to clean water when things get dirty on a spot, you find the bait you will find the fish

@@24ksportfishingyes I see it brother, I always just used 1/0 or 2/0 misquitos and it works but I never did a stinger, only trolling but it came across my mind why not put a stinger... where exactly do you stick the stinger? in the shit hole? I thought about just rubber band it

@@Quackk_Addict let it hang mid body length stinger stay away from live bait and give Anchovy freedom longer life , some people stick them bottom fins or top fins but bait dies fast since its working too hard so letting stinger hang is best IMO and we catch lots that way

@@24ksportfishing yeaa forsure, we do pretty good too, just waiting for this north bar to open up in another month or so for the real donkeys! I just thought about the stinger itself but then saw your video and was like "man, he smacks them too" I hear mixed reviews about live bait and stingers but ima try it next time forsure.. thank you bro next good tides next weekend so hopefully I see you out there 🤟🏼

​@@Quackk_Addict hell yeah, north bar! Can't wait either cost my PB out there in October , when swells are good and tides are right hell yah I'm out there too, you and I think alike! Caught beasts out there and lost many many more so you got it right, when north bar opens to good weather it'll be fire!! I have that video posted 39 incher and consistently bigger bites
