📍To my own research In Canada, individuals living in cars and vans due to partial homelessness result from a complex interplay of factors. High housing costs relative to income, stagnant wages, and income inequality drive this issue. Job loss, weak social support, medical expenses, evictions, and lack of affordable housing also contribute, while systemic problems and inadequate policies further perpetuate the phenomenon.

Considering the present situation, diversifying by shifting investments from real estate to financial markets or gold is recommended, despite potential future home price drops. Given prevailing mortgage rates and economic uncertainty, this move is prudent, particularly due to stricter mortgage regulations. Seeking advice from a knowledgeable independent financial advisor is advisable for those seeking guidance.

I've remained in touch with a financial analyst since the start of my business. Amid today's dynamic market, the key difficulty is pinpointing the right time to buy or sell when dealing with trending stocks - a seemingly simple task but challenging in reality. My portfolio has grown by more than 5 figures within just a year, and i have entrusted my advisor with the task of determining entry and exit points.

@charlesward9486 The title is misleading. A CCA is not supposed to be given the title of "nurse". She is a CCA, a care assistant. She is not an NP, RN, or LPN. A CCA would make less than those. I read about $29/hour, which is still way above minimum wage. As a woman, I would be nervous living in a van in Halifax, and I'm no scaredy-cat. I lived my teen years in the south-end of Saint John. She's not a young woman. How many more years can she manage winters alone in a van? She mentioned children. I hope one of her children take her in.

If the crisis isn't meaningfully addressed soon, Canada as a civilization and economy will collapse. And if we think we're having a brain drain now, just wait. Anyone with skills and intelligence will soon leave. You can't sustain an economy that is predicated solely on rampant real estate speculation and unaffordable housing. Let's get something clear here. She has stated she is a CCA in NS. That is an unregulated care provider, NOT a nurse. In most provinces that is a very poorly paid position. Regardless, working at a hospital full time for 25 years and not being able to afford rent is absurd. There is more to this story, without a doubt. Even if I could go back to, which would be for minimum wage, there's no way to afford "fair market" rent.
