Hi, Jamilah! This is Mr. Hill from the Admissions department here at ASU! Thanks for this video! I am a recruiter, so we often get questions on the road about how the residence halls are. Of course we know general information, but it's good when the students can actually SEE what a dorm looks like. Many of our freshmen have dual enrollment credits and might be able to stay in a dorm such as Hall 1. You gave a wonderful tour! Thanks!

I came to ASU with transfer credits too, I was still considered a freshman because I didn’t have a total of 30 credits. And I stayed in a freshman dorm.

Li yes it does but you have to buy your own shower curtain & plastic

Hey! And when you apply for housing you can choose which building you would like to live in, unless they choose to put you in a dorm that’s available. (You won’t be in a freshman dorm since you’re a sophomore)

Usually you would live in freshmen dorms, this has been considered an upperclassman dorm hall ,but I’ve seen freshman live there, so it doesn’t hurt to try.

What rooms are corner rooms

Destiny Webb The ones that are pushed back on the wall down on the halls. They’re usually next to the staircase. The rooms on the sides are usually normal sized. I’m trying to explain it , but it’s kinda difficult.

Is there a requirement for freshmen to have to stay on campus 1st year?

Yes you need at least 12 credit hours if I’m not mistaken

No unless you have at least 15 credit hours already

This is an upperclassmen dorm, so typically Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors stay in this type of building. You would have to have 30 credits or more. However, there are special cases when freshman can live in these dorms if there is an overflow of incoming freshman.
