Hallatar interview - a Finnish doom/death metal band explain the tragic background

I just discovered ... a year ago..Trees Of Eternity... and when I found out that Aleaha passed away .....I found out that one of her songs was on a band called Hallatar....so I started listening to it called " My Mistake'...and I got the CD not too long ago ...I listen to it everyday ...for a twar now...Hallatar is a new band for me ....and I really love the band a lot and I really really cried a lot when I found out Aleaha passed away because her songs have everything to do with my own private life .... I consider her a good friend and I thank her all the time for her songs that she brought into the world and I really like listening to Hallatar...I love their music...and I just want to thank Hallatar for making a new band with some of Aleah's songs... I haven't heard all their music yet but every day I sit down and listen to more and different songs and music of theirs.. also the song that means the most to me that Aleaha sang...was "The Eye Of Night"... and " Hour of the of Nightingale "" because those two songs are my life..and "The Tower"

Thanks for this interview. I did not realize Juha Raivio created Hallatar. I met him in 2017 in Houston after his show (coincidentally or not, Amorphis also was playing). Really, really nice guy. And I wish him all of the best in his life and his career. Much peace, happiness and success..

Thank you. Yes, Juha is a really nice guy. Met him just a week ago for some chat after Swallow the Sun interview. I said to him I want to do an StS interview, too, but guess it will be done with Mikko when it happens. Nothing wrong with that either, I guess. Mikko is a nice chap (and he actually invited me to their show).

I saw their first video and it was so bleak but awesome at the same time. It was like death doom with more pain than MY Dying Bride but the clean vocals really fit.
