8 years already. She is missed. Fantastic voice we can only hear as a recorording forever more.

I cried a lot when, after just discovering her, and loving her songs, cried when I find out she passed away, I still do, I have her CD with her last songs on it.I listen to it every single night, 2 or 3 times., I'm wiping a tear out of my eye right now...

The very same here I discovered her a year ago and when I found out I was very sad. I hope she found peace where she rests.

I got Swallow the Sun's New Moon CD in 2010 after seeing them live. Lights on the Lake was instantly my favourite song and I was in awe of this atmospheric, ghostly, beautiful voice. But also intrigued by the liner notes simply saying it was sung by Aleah. I had to know who she was! I soon after discovered her solo work and the 4 song Trees demo. I followed the bands journey every step of the way and was crushed by her passing. I have been a strong supporter of Juha and Swallow the Sun through their grief, got several tattoos of Trees, STS, Hallatar and Aleah. So a couple years back Juha mailed me a personalized copy of the original Black Ocean promo CD. Such an absolute gentleman and one of my heroes. When I saw STS a few weeks ago I was talking to him and he said that "Aleah wanted you to have it" and my heart was filled with bittersweet joy and love. This music is woven into my soul, has been a huge help in my life's journey and I will fly the flag for Aleah for the rest of my life. Thank you for the video.

When i saw swallow the sun live at a small club during one of the worst parts of my life. i had the pleasure of seeing juha and the band outside prior to playing and while i didnt get to talk to him i made eye contact with juha and he gave the sweetest but most heartbreaking smile to me id ever seen, the guy seemed so nice and seeing another person make a face like he did is heart breaking. I feel so sorry for him and for Aleah i cant even imagine the kind of heartbreak they went through

I was initially planning on making a video about Trees of Eternity, but I’m glad to see that you did. Trees of Eternity and Aleah were magnificent, and deserve to be spoken about more.

Ah man.. When I started listening to album i just told myself this album is masterpiece. It was the first time I've listened to an album in its entirety because I've never seen an album where all the songs are great. And then i search for music video or concrete but i found nothing and after that i realized what exactly happened to this band Why should this happen to Aleah I just can't believe

Found them a couple years ago and wanted to hear more only to find the sad news. I immediately ordered a copy of the album on vinyl. Also found a vinyl of her solo that I want even though I have yet to hear any of it, but I have to get it to ship to America and they only site I found it on does not ship here, hoping to find it on Amazon or something

I had met Trees of Eternity on a bus trip, and I was looking for new bands, with an emphasis on Doom Metal, to listen to the whole trip. That was in 2015. In that same search I met Spacegoat, Avatarium, and also Skumring. But Trees of Eternity was the one that appealed to me the most. And since that day, I've listened to that wonderful demo many times. Until in the year 2018, already forgetting about the band and their promise to release an album, I came looking for information and I see this your lovely vocalist

! the very first time i heard trees of eternity it was sinking ships , she touched me in a way ive never felt before and then i found out a few minutes after hearing sinking ships that she died i instantly had a tear dripping down my face , because i started thinking about how many lives she touched with her voice and how someone so beautiful inside and out could die at such a young age ! R.I.P. ALEAH

Aleah Stanbridge and David Gold (I just watched your Woods of Ypres video) are two artists who absolutely speak directly to my soul (not that I have one, tee hee). All of their music is so moving and it is so sad to know that we will never hear anything from them ever again.

The album is an absolute pleasure to listen to. I was so invested to Aleah's voice before finding out she passed away and it really made me so sad. Sha had been featured in Shallow the Sun, Hallatar and she also has her own album as 'Aleah' which was released 4 years after her passing, in 2020 ('My Will' and 'The Tower' are my favorties) I've been listening to various songs of all these bands/people without realizing that she was involved in all of them. I found it out and got pleasantly surprised after doing some research, but it was also when I learned about her passing. Some time after that was when I realized that almost all her work was released after the passing which is such a rare case. That story is definitely one I'm not gonna forget Great video man. Aleah's voice was special

Have you ever come across an interview with Aleah? I searched a lot a while back to find an audio or video interview with her but I found absolutely nothing.

@@spectralnighttravel It's such a shame. It must have been her personal choice to not give any interviews I guess. I would have loved to hear what she had to say though 😥
