Hallberg-Rassy 64 walk through with interior in European oak

I love the uncluttered interior, and decks of hallberg-rassy’s. Most boats of this caliber seem to have every conceivable inch crammed with extras, or useless options you hardly ever need when blue water cruising. Like admiring a Ferrari, this 64 is way outta my league, but it’s still nice to dream.

Nice presentation of that boat. I love when a broker gets to the point. And you didnt use multiple adjectives to describe how much storage or how great the woodwork. Its a high end builder, we know already. Thanks and take notes on this rookies and old rookies alike.

Omg.. if you never have been fortunate enough to experience the smells and the newborn feeling of a yacht coming to life you just have to do it. I can still to this day some 38 years remember the sounds, light, atmosphere and smells of a newborn Orust yacht..

Nope, Hallberg Rassy build blue-water apartments in different sizes, but with sails. ;-) Sailboats are something else.

Nice yacht. I'll bet it's real fun to change one of those hydraulic pump motors that are in the back under the air-conditioner compressor shelf. Also it would be real fun to replace the laundry equipment. Having said that this is probably the most sea worthy ocean crossing production yachts remaining on the market. The rest have gone to open cockpits built for a party not crossing an ocean. One good wave in a sea state 3 would wash you right off the deck unless you are lashed to the helm. Most of the "blue water cruisers" are coastal sailors with a water maker, autopilot, and navionics.

For me it's either Hallberg or Amel, the only Amel brownie points are for their fully covered helm, a must for long distances. I'm sure though that Hallberg could make some kind of accommodation :) Check out the HR 40c, great boat.

The standard of your workmanship is incredible; the level of detail here, the quality of the finish and the amount of practicality built-in for keeping things under control in rough conditions - plus the way you have managed to blend them together to work seamlessly - is highly impressive. It’s also great to see how the interiors keep evolving by degree - as a company, you clearly have a progressive approach! One question: in the owners cabin, and elsewhere where the beds are relatively open-sided, can these all be fitted with lee cloths to keep sleeping sailors in their berths?? 😄

I like it. Good amount of cold storage.. ventilated cupboard shelves.. spacious and thoughtful design. The walk in mechanical room is also considerate feature to add in my opinion. Recessed lighting.. all indications point to this being a solidly enjoyable liveaboard motor sailor. I'm intrigued. Is there a dealer in the Washington and vancouver Island area that would have one to survey this fall?

This 64 HR is close to the perfection in every regards = Build by saylors for saylors = Very intelligently built in side, look at the chart table and the place it offers for onboard books, and other navigation books, the engine room where all the instruments and devices are grouped, The power of the VOLVO engine etc, etc! She is Fast, confortable, SO Reliable in strong weather condition because of its extra solid rigging and much more ! When you are on board , you don't feel that you are at home = But in a Fortress! Forget Amel Yacht 60" ! If you want a strong boat whish can take you anywhere in any condition = Just buy an Hallberg Rassy 64" ! If you are not convinced, come back and talk to me! But remember this boat was built down to the last detail by sailors for sailors !

Well thought out.The only bit i'd say they could work on, is a way of sliding the centre part seating, in front of recliner chairs, around and away and behind the cushions, @ 5:07 it would open it up very nicely.

Only thing I’d change is that V birth. I’d turn it into a work room/slash dedicated storage. Other than that it’s a masterpiece. I’d love to own it. I’d never be heard from again.

Thank you Magnus. The detail shown in this walk-through is great. It's good to have a 'behind closed doors' tour with commentary by you. Can you do a 20 minute version of the HR 44 please? By the way, the crew from Delos have called me and would like to know if the dishwasher can be traded for two more fridge-drawers, to keep more beer cold? A fair question - sometimes seven fridges isn't enough. ;-) Regards, Rick.

If I could have a lady like this in my life at least I'll know if I didn't look after her she would definitely kill me and there's no way I'd let that happen after a beautiful day riding waves I'd give her all the polish she would need

What an amazing looking yacht! Wonder if a couple could handle her...
@mumblic6 жыл бұрын
Those bigger boats (>50) are often easier to handle than smaller ones because of all the tech on board. In this case a lot is push button. I believe there is video on how easy it is to control this yacht from the helm. Off course an experienced captain is always a plus!
@geraldanderson75766 жыл бұрын
Mum Blic Thanks for your reply! The only vid I've been able to find is 6 yrars old and she was more fascinated by the piston driven cabin hatch. I'd love to see one that's more in depth like the Amel 55 one. But even that one is 5 years old. If you find one, can you reply here again? Either way, thanks again!
@mumblic6 жыл бұрын
I searched myself for a while, but I was not able to find the one I was talking about (only German and Swedish versions). It''s a video where the ceo himself explains all the function of the helm. I believe he explained it's possible to completely control the boat with just 2 hands and 2 feet. There are even push buttons on the floor at the helm station. I would not worry to much, you can control this boat single handedly with the right preparation and knowledge! Off course an extra set of hands and eyes are always welcome when docking and in rough weather. Although I would go for the HR 55

I wonder how many of us buy those tickets with the express dream of buying a boat. Buy a decent used 35-40ft boat and go. Hell if you need help “hire” me as crew. I’m retired with semi-guaranteed income (unless the US collapses. Lol )
