Who would have guessed a talent like hers could even exist in this Fallen world -- but there she is.

Sarah is joy incarnate - and the joy is infectious. Everybody can say, 'I'm With Her'. Thanks, Prairie Home, and God. (RIP, Garrison....)

Who knew I could love Sarah Jarosz' version of this song as much as I like Martha Scanlan's original? Well I do.

So cool somebody is covering this tune. I've always loved the original by Reeltime Travelers

What about bringing Nanci Griffith, Iris DeMent and Sarah together for a long concert. Now that would be some harmonising! Peter Turner, England.

A song of Martha Scanlan.
@shantyslater44147 жыл бұрын
I heard a 1972 recording of it by Kitty Rose and I dont think Martha is that old. I cant figure out who wrote it
@peha5246 жыл бұрын
Probably not. But she make a pretty good performance of it.
@teufeldoc85642 жыл бұрын
@@shantyslater4414 Martha said she wrote it about an old truck. It was on a video from 6/2003.
@shantyslater44147 жыл бұрын
who wrote this song? I see credit often given to Martha Scanlan but there is a 1972 recording of it so I doubt she wrote it. (Kitty Rose- Live at the Ryman)
@thinkerguy47 жыл бұрын
See my recent reply. She says in one of the links I include that she wrote it. I was totally unaware of her until the Jarosz song.
