This game looks so good. It ticks all the right boxes for me. Thanks for the runthrough! By the way, I have always enjoyed your runthroughs, but your current setup and execution is really stellar.

This game looks fantastic, after seeing your review I will definitely, eventually get it. But why is it in such a big box and cost so much more than regular games? It doesn't, from your runthrough, look like a huge game. There were a lot of meeples, but it only seemed like a few were needed because of the tracking system. It's only a 4p max game right? Does it really have that many more components than regular games?

I’d imagine that empty field would generate wild rabbits. I used to live in Bavaria and there were so many wild rabbits in the area.

Another great game from Uwe Rosenberg.

I see so much potential of shared wooden resources for a big box of Rosenberg games... I would be very interested.

This game looks great. BTW how do you manage to find space to store all these new games?
@rahdo3 жыл бұрын
a bunch of shelves in two different rooms :)

My only complaint is that we watch the playthrough, loke it, then try to find it and the game isn't made or can't get in our country... ;(

Between this and Fields of Arle which do you prefer and why?
@rahdo5 ай бұрын
hallertau by a wide margin. i didn't keep arle, but hallertau was a big hit for us. arle was very easy going and not particuarily tension filled, while the race here is much more intense (for our tastes anyay)

A technical, non-boardgame related question. I know Rahdo has been doing this for a while but what is he using to share close ups of the cards? Is it some sort of projector? Looks like a good tool to use in other teaching settings. Thanks!
nope, apparently the hallertau region is famous for its hops, not its beer :)

Don’t you have to pay 1 flax minimum for the Bakehouse at 30:40?
@PauloRenato233 жыл бұрын
yes, there's a limit to the flax he can spend, but he can pay any amount of the other resources (barley and Rye) if he wanted and he has them... he just doesn't have the tools to remove the boulder

Nice video as usual. The game looks great. But I’m a little disappointed by the production. Cubes instead of Meeples and no illustration on the workers’ grid. It’s a minor thing and has no impact on the gameplay of course, but in this kind of management games, a lot of my enjoyment comes from the components manipulation and illustrations.

It was too painful to keep watching as he messed up the tools rule so badly. 😭
