Our tax dollars are being spent on gov't projects & programs. Your rent costs are more than likely a result of man made greed that started when the pandemic started. A highly contageous & deadly virus caused people to move out of big cities to buy homes in less populated areas. The gov't lent out trillions of dollars in pandemic aid. Good prices went up as a result to the pandemic. Supply chain shortages aided price increases. All of this caused inflation rates to go up. House prices are through the roof because the high mortgage rate is keeping current home owners in their homes with a very low rate 30 yr mortgage. Which is now causing nation wide housing shortages. On top of that these home owners are getting greedy & jacking up the home values up to 50% of their original value or real market value. I've been watching a home the same size as my parents house. That house is being sold for over $623K! It has been sitting there for over a month. It can sit there. It's not worth what it is being sold for. The cost of wood tripled & quadrupled at the start of the pandemic. Another cause to why housing costs & rent are high. Your landlord might be getting greedy as well. If part of your rent goes to property mgt &/or association fees. These organizations are probably increasing their fees which increases your rent. What you & the rest of us are seeing are the effects of what a microscopic organism, that doesn't belong, in our ecosystem is doing to our ecosystem. Most of these q

If I were living in San Diego I would have to live out of my car.
