I actually really like trickster Michael in the stefan comics. It shows the side of him from the original that really hasnt been touched upon much. where he set up Laurie's friends just to spook her. Obviously it's on a much bigger scale in the comics but I still think it goes well with his identity as the boogeyman.

Even though it has nothing to do with the others, I think 3 may be my favorite (aside from the original) since it is fun and tries something new, rather than just repeating what Carpenter did (only not as well). I didn't know about the comics. Great video as always!

Well to be fair to Halloween 2018, Kills basically throws Laurie’s assumption that Michael is obsessed with her in her face when he doesn’t bother with tracking her down to the hospital. She doesn’t matter to him, which plays into part of the tragedy of Kills: Laurie’s paranoia fuels the fear of the town and unintentionally bolsters Michael’s legend until he achieves his boogeyman status.

Richards took liberties I think lol. Carpenter said he never gave anything to why Michael was doing any of this lol. Especially not about any curse. But this is interesting that Michael wasn't the first one to be inflicted but especially the voices he hears . see visions of future like Loomis said in second movie. That's interesting about Michael birth lol. Yeah I've always heard it was nineteen th lol. We this is what happened to cult lol in this one lol

In h20 she wasn't that tough til the end. She was taking drugs and drinking and shrinking away from visions of him . Maybe she left Jaime behind with loomis. He said he'll watch over her like obi wan did to Luke in star wars lol. While she took john or maybe John was a tear later after she went to California. Maybe she was so traumatized and guilt ridden that's why she was drinking and hooked up with a methodabe addict to have john lol. Plus there's jimmy in the comics that died after two. Maybe she was so messed up had Jaime couldn't take care of her she didn't think plus figured Michael was just going after her. She didn't know her going after his while family just her so she figured she's safe. Maybe she figured he'd stop if he thought she was ded. Maybe she figured how would he know she had a daughter. If it wasn't for that paramedic he wouldn't have would he lol

In Adam film about all the movies but obviously in that it all happened like its a documentary lol. In that they explained rob zombies movies were movies they made in this reality like scream had did lol with the stab movies. In theatrical Michael had killed all the cult members or like the top ranking members including Winn the leader lol. In that fan film I mentioned they went into that too. The cult kept on going after six but they kept their distance after Michael killed a bunch of them. He can't be controlled lol. There's even a nut that went around killing survivors of Michael cause no one survived Michael lol . That includes john after h20 . that sucks lol. Love these comics lol especially the prequel bits lol. Yeah loved the novelization lol. I always heard it on audiobook especially at 80s slasher librarian he does really good reading the novel with sound effects and music from the movie lol. So cool. My mom had the novel back when I was a kid but got rid of it after reading it cause she said it went into to too much with the violence. Wish we kept it lol

I'm with Mandy here, Dead West. The bloodline storyline of the sequels hamstrung the series so fucking badly. It's cheaply written in Halloween II and never, ever worked and only got worse with each installment. It's this goddamn plotline that makes the Halloween series my least favorite of the Big Three of slasher franchises. I think your reading of Halloween 2018 is a bit thick, to be honest. No offense, lol. Calling the new timeline story "ridiculous" is such a weird take, lol. It's the most streamlined the franchise has been since 1978. Laurie and Michael battling again is the "fate" speech from the original brought to its conclusion. I love the inverse of Laurie being after Michael instead of Michael being after Laurie.

Maybe she didn't have a choice maybe they automatically locked her up cause she was so messed up lol. And maybe like in fam film john died shortly after h20 so that's why she stayed in hospital. Or why in Jer room you see johns picture on the wall but its crumpled up lol. He's not alive by resurrection he's ded. Maybe he got killed by copycat like in fan film or maybe right after h20 he killed john so she stayed in hospital til he came for her lol. This comic could be in different timeline. They've been saying four to six is different timeline than h20 so Loomis is dead by h20 by that timeline but in this one he stayed alive longer lol

the problem with the comics, is devil's due went out of business before anything could get finished off just like dreamwave publishing. people weren't too interested in 70's 80's nostalgia. at least that is what both companies had to say for the failure of their businesses. in the case of halloween 2 and up all being erased and we get the new halloween 2 just titled halloween 2018. i like it better. and with halloween kills coming out in 2 weeks. i can't wait to see what happens next.

Erik Hawkke: True. However, I researched this once when the pronunciation of "Sah-win" became a thing. I found out that since English can (and does) change as people migrate and time goes on, the newer (North / American) pronunciation is actually acceptable. It doesn't have to be pronounced "in the old way." It's fun, but not necessary. It's just a matter of modern language changes to track it from Sah-win to Sah-hween (I think) to Sah-min to Sah-main to Sam-han to the more contemporary Samhain. So, it's fine
