Hey Ghoul!! For the pumpkin snowman witch thing (LOL) maybe you could use something like a wood tint to darken it! If you're unsure about the whole thing, you could also only darken the edges/nooks and go from there? I love crafting I'm sorry 😅 Such a great haul! Can't wait to see what else is out there! 🧡🖤 :)

You should definitely rock out a ghostly graveyard theme for the mantle. This year I’m going for a sleepy hollow/ graveyard with my headless horseman and the creepy trees from Michaels. I might even sprinkle some Haunted Mansion related decor.

The next time you go back to Cracker Barrel, get the led color changing little puck light. It will go inside the bottom of your wraith and your witch and it makes the inside glow/change colors. I feel like the wraiths on either side of your mantel would be PERFECT for like a necromancer kind of theme! I kinda thought of saruman and that scene in the hobbit with the big ruined castle and orcs and gandalf had to fight there. Hey ghoul, hey! That wooden "unusual" piece, if we know we know, LOL.....Anyways if you really want it black maybe lightly sand down the finish to expose the wood and you can stain it. You can just use watered down black acrylic paint, brush it on and wipe it off. That way you won't lose the wooden integrity of the piece. Hey also that idea for your mantel could be a sleepy hallow theme, you could put the wraiths on either side, headless horseman front and center and all your spooky trees with candles tucked, etc.

You could do a black and white mirrored theme--like the white wraith surrounded by black decor and the black wraith surrpunded by white, and the closer you get to the middle of the mantle, its mixed black and white items

I went to my local Cracker Barrel. They were out of the witch with lamp already. Even the staff said they had not been able to get hold of one yet. They did not have a waiting list but told me when the truck comes each week and told me to call them to see if they got some in. They did plan to get more. Still I spent 100 bucks and got the sparkle potion bottle and the Halloween House. I got the last ones of those that they had at the moment. Thank you for the heads up on that. I would not have thought to look there for any Halloween. Potion bottles have become a favorite of mine due to my love of Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas.

I think if you do go with the wraiths with lanterns maybe an eerie spooky forest theme would be cool. They would look like eerie creatures using lanterns to get through the spooky trees or you could pretend they are old statues that you would find along a spooky path in the woods. I love the skeleton planter! I found large vintage rats at an estate sale that are so real looking. I also found some skulls that you put into a fireplace or firepit at an estate sale. Looks so awesome with them on fire and the flames coming out of the eyes and mouth

The ghouls were awesome but I liked the weird witchy pumpkin best. And yeah, I wouldn't paint it. It has a battered cursed found object energy like something from an abandoned house near the woods. I haven't done any Halloween decor hunting outside of a quick visit to At Home and Homegoods because we're all at each others' throats packing up after 16 years in one apartment to move to another state, so I'm not adding to the pile I need to pack. I hope once we're settled in to be able to pick up a few things.

You could sand down finish on the wood pumpkin witch and use a black wood stain that way you would still see the nice wood grain and it'll be black. I do this a lot with wooden furniture i like 🖤🦇🎃
