As a current Joann's employee, I can tell you for certain: We aren't trying to sleep on y'all. We literally haven't got the inventory in yet. Our suppliers got hit by the pandemic too, so currently it's a waiting game for all parties involved. Things we think are gonna be on the truck this week take until next week's delivery to finally arrive.... Trust me. I'm right here with you just waiting to blow my paycheck on spooky decor. If I had to guess, a LOT of bigger companies are feeling the effects of the pandemic because a lot of their suppliers were in China and they were in full shut down for a long while. Thanks for the video. I've been feeling less full on scary and more like a children's funhouse, mildly creepy lately with the lack of Halloween stuff. Good stuff Jade! I also remember seeing something at MY Joann's store that I remember thinking was your aesthetic but I couldn't remember what it was now for the life of me.

I feel your pain. As a small business owner in a completely different field, what used to be a simple one-day order/delivery process, sometimes a backorder taking days longer, now might take a week or two. Purell? Pffft!! Going on months now since March. Some pricing has risen as well ( to my and my customers dissatisfaction ). It's good you speak up and inform folks of how amazingly slow it is regarding general flow, certain products in particular, and hopefully they will be more than understanding. I got your back!

@@JennaMcCallister It's all connected and there is a LOT of stress in the Economy, so: I have to remember to not take out my frustrations on my suppliers who have little flexibility since other institutions take priority right now, i.e. health field. Or the obvious, businesses were shut down or severely limited in operations which meant that there wasn't as much product to get out there to consumers ( or it's very delayed ). It's a mess and we would all do better to not take it out on each other as if we are each other's enemies.

Not trying to talk your ear off, it's just that your comments reminded me of an acquaintance who suddenly had to shop for a new refrigerator and outdoor spa. She had the hardest time finding the fridge model in white ( then was initially quoted 6 months for delivery?!? ), and there were only 2 spas available ( in total due to manufacturers stopping production ) within 100 miles, so...that's all she can choose from. WoW. Well, I keep reminding my customers when pricing goes up due to scarcity it's how it is in general right now. One was shocked, but at least said: "Well, we know you wouldn't gouge us." She didn't sound convincing, though, so can't say I had peace-of-mind when I left her business site. Thanks again for your kind support!

Good news!! I saw some vintage looking Halloween stuff at my Michaels. For now it was just wreaths with vintage spooky cats and vintage spooky kids. My local michaels mostly just has their floral out so far but I'll let you know if I see more stuff. Judging from those wreaths I saw though, I'm positive they'll have some other vintage spooky decor

@@strangerdanger8343 - Sounds like you're in the UK, otherwise in the States there are hazardous materials recycling centers which put out cans of different colored paint for people to take for...FREE. Also, Freecycle is a help where you could post: "In need of a bed frame with such-and-such dimensions" and someone might very well respond with: "I got one. Come and get it." Maybe the UK has similar options.

I work at a HomeGoods and the best thing to do is find out when they get their trucks in and go on that day when they’re putting stuff out or the next days bc odds are it takes 1-2 days to process it so within 2 days they have the new stuff out ! 🖤

It is going to be our 10 year anniversary and a full moon so perfect but theyve shut down all weddings due to COVID for good reason so it's all gone. @@cecilyerker you can have that opinion however we have planned this for 6 years to fall exactly on the full moon and ten year anniversary. This was the only night we got that so it is definitely not a blessing to us. While again I know it isn't the most important thing in the world we now are getting married on a day that isn't our anniversary because it falls on a Sunday next year and isnt a full moon which was really important to me spiritually.

I don’t decorate with traditional Halloween decor, my house is “Day of the Dead” decked out. I plant orange marigolds outside, I hang paper picado inside and I have sugar skulls everywhere. I got to only run to TJ Maxx this weekend, but I got some cute pieces! The purple and orange vintage radios you showed I got one in a nice diner colored light blue! When you turn the second dial it actually changes the "channel" and you get a witch report, weather, and music. It's so cute!!! I also got a new insulated cup that has bats and pumpkins all over it, as well as a new Halloween blanket! I'm so excited for everything! Hopefully going out either Thursday or Saturday this week! 🎃

Literally almost the exact same wedding situation for me and my husband. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary this November. We planned our wedding in 3 months because my dads health declined so quickly and we were told he was most likely not going to be here for another year (which was our original plan) so we were like okay so we have to do this now and it was absolutely amazing and I am so thankful that we were able to share that day with my parents.

I had a July wedding when I wanted an October one 🤣 we also did it so my sister could come (she lives overseas and is a teacher, so July was perfect). However it turned out just as great. It was hot AF but we had it inside! Also, this cheered me up so much. I’ve been feeling so “bleh” this week, and seeing this makes me so happy. I finally got to go out into the world lol and I got a few things from HomeGoods. Planning to order pick up from Target on the 27th when they release their Halloween stuff! That's so interesting about your anniversary! My husband and I also wanted our wedding to be in October, but pushed it a few months back to August (14th to be exact!) because my grandfather was in poor health. Unfortunately, he passed 2 months before the date and he wasn't able to celebrate with us - so I am so glad that you were able to have your Father-in-Law there with you!

WalMart has those Reeses pumpkins! Those Halloween radios you can also turn the knob and get spooky music etc. Make a noose to hang your rear view mirror skeleton. I adore scary creepy mugs too! At the end of the vlog you did go to WM for the pumpkins...but I left my answer anyway, lol.

I did the same thing last weekend. Went to Michael’s and they had a couple of animatronic little things but nothing else. Then went to Homesense and Winners and there was zip, absolutely nothing.. damn it. Argh! I’m gonna try again tomorrow. Hopefully there will be a better outcome.

spirit doesn't have all their stuff out til almost October. right now theyve all gotten their first truck and theres a lot in the back but they spend so long setting up the walls and the scenery that by opening day, they scrounge around to get enough product out for people to know they're open. and throughout the days the product comes out. give it a couple weeks for them to have their back room stock out and they'll have a second shipment. trucks come til mid october. with new, very hyped products, they'll be available online but not in stores until october. ive worked there a few times. and this has been the process each year. all companies and stores are being hit though due to covid so give them all some time.

I said the exact same thing about the haunted house at Big Lots...way too much for plastic. The antique mall prices for the vintage Halloween stuff is pretty standard... really expensive. For true vintage Halloween, if you can find any, the best places to find them are estate sales because they usually price to sell. I live really close to the JoAnn Fabric's corporate store and they told me they should have all of the Halloween stuff within a few more weeks.
