Really love the reaction series, you three are the best reactions on youtube. Hector saying "pinned to the wall there you have it kill number 49" cracked me UP! You can really tell Adam loves this franchise. Evil changes Shape. I do love the idea that Michael died but the presence of evil might consume someone else to continue developing this universe. I honestly loved this new trilogy, the original Halloween will forever be the best, no doubt. And I rank these new movies as they were released, 2018, Kills and Ends. I love 2018 and Kills and I like this one, it's not what you expect but to me it's still a good ending to the story and I like that it leaves open a door for future Halloween movies or projects.

I can't tell how refreshing this commentary was. I've watched a lot of these and there are so many people out there who just want to see the same movie over and over again. The Scream franchise has a similar issue. But you guys at the very least recognize that Ends wasn't a horrible movie and that it all just comes down to taste. I personally love Ends and it's right up there with Halloween 4 as my favorite of all. I know that's not a typical opinion.

I didn't like this film anywhere near as much as you guys did. The film doesn't pay off so many of the things the previous films seemed to be setting up. For example, Frank Hawkins was killed in 2018, only to be brought back in Kills and given a lot of backstory, but Ends does absolutely nothing with it. We just get a couple of scenes with flirty talk about cherry blossoms. They also brought back Lindsay and do absolutely nothing with her. Both Laurie and Allyson act horribly out of character given what they've been through. Michael himself is barely a factor in the film, and is almost completely neutered because they choose to portray the unstoppable, essentially supernatural "Boogeyman" as a withered weakling who gets wrestled to the ground and has his mask snatched from him like it was his lunch money. The film dedicates most of its time to Corey's introduction and development with the apparent intent to turn him into Michael Myers' successor only to kill him off in the third act and basically render his arc a complete waste of fucking time. The movie makes so many choices that just seem bafflingly wrong. While I totally get the desire to "do something different," perhaps the closing chapter of a mult-film arc is not the time to do that, especially if it's going to do it in a way that it is a disservice to the characters in it. This film is not Halloween III, though it may want to be. Halloween III had the freedom to do whatever it wanted, as it was completely untethered to the saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. But Ends was supposed to be the finale that ties everything up and delivers satisfying conclusions to the things that the previous films had been building toward. It's like if Peter Jackson had decided that Frodo and Aragorn weren't going to be the focus of Return Of The King, and had instead decided to introduce a new elf and make most of the film about them. No one would've tolerated that. So ultimately, instead of being the slasher movie equivalent to Return Of The King, they tried to make it like The Last Jedi - a film so far up its own ass about "subverting expectations" that it doesn't even give a shit about having its characters act in reasonable ways or delivering satisfying resolutions to the story elements that were already set up for it.

On first watch, I was beyond irritated with this movie. I spent of my time annoyed at Allison, wondering why we were spending all this time on a new character, and wondering why there wasn't more Michael and Laurie. It wasn't a finale set up based on 2018 and Kills. If this was pitched as an off shoot movie to Halloween with Corey, I probably would have loved it in that regard. I liked Hector's thought about Corey surviving and so the legacy continues on, but then they killed Corey...so then I ask, what was the point?! I heard, what I think were some other great ideas, in which it was Corey and Allison doing the killings, or leave Corey out and then Allison would become the killer. Those ideas made sense to me based on how the character acted in this film. At one point, it seemed they would honestly become like "Natural Born Killers". Allison being fed up with her co-workers, her ex, Laurie, Haddonfield in general...then she sees Corey and has an instantaneous connection with him with no words being spoken.Corey has his transformative moment with Michael (who what, reads souls now?) and begins saying all the red flag things to Allison, yet she remained unfazed by his words and new demeanor. They talk about burning the world and him lighting the match, yet she refuses to listen to Laurie expressioning concerns about he's potentially dangerous. And on top of that, Allison just says causally, after the fact, you were right about Corey!??! Huh??! Sigh...alas, it was fine. The 1978 Halloween still wins overall. My trilogy of 1, 2, H20 stands tall. I like 2018 Halloween. With Halloween Kills, I was annoyed by the mob mentality and stupity with the decisions made by the townspeople, but highly entertained (evil dies tonight literally became one of the most unintentional funniest lines in movies for me). Halloween Ends was great as I watched it with you guys. It was much more fun during this watch. I can't wait until next year's Halloween marathon, though I haven't seen III-V, Curse, or the 2nd Rob Zombie films. Thank you Hector, Adam, and Agustin for making Halloween so fun! 🤗🧡

Bold choice but poor execution and what drives me away from this movie is that i feel it was too disrespectful to Michael Myers as a main character no matter how you slice it Michael is the main character as well Biggest gripe i wish they never introduced was taking off his mask. Michael mask is his signature the mask is damn near his uniform i hate they made that a thing. You don’t remove Jason mask, you don’t remove Freddy’s glove, you don’t remove leatherface flesh mask that should be law Movie was mid 4/10 H2018 was 6.5/10 maybe a strong 7 HKills was 5/10

So I just watched all of y'alls reaction to this new timeline and after seeing the H.K. reaction, I was almost certain y'all were going to hate this one...and I am pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed Halloween Ends a lot and while at first it may have been because Kills had destroyed my enjoyment of the franchise again but the more reactions I watch, the more I enjoy the fact that this movie is more about The Shape as well as it is about Michael Myers and I dug that. I'm looking forward to see y'all run thru the franchise and timelines next year. Halloween is my favorite horror franchise, and my rankings of these movies are: 1. Halloween ('78) 2. H20 3. Halloween 4 (1st one I ever saw... I'm 34) 4. Halloween 2018 5. Halloween II ('81) 6. Halloween (Zombie) 7. Halloween Ends 8. Halloween 5 9. Halloween II (Zombie) 10. Halloween 6 11. Halloween Kills 12. Halloween Resurrection

Thing is, Halloween is as much about Haddonfield itself as it's about Michael and Laurie, and I actually really appreciated that they went the route of exploring the poison in the wound and how it has affected the town, rather than replaying the same old same old. Enjoyed your reaction a lot, but the one thing I disagree with is that I think Cory Cunningham should have survived and maybe gone to the asylum like Michael before him. He was so interesting.

I'm not a die hard-fan of the Halloween franchise but I was still very dissapointed with this movie. And I actually liked the direction they were going with and enjoyed parts of it. But in the end - the execution of this concept didn't work out for me, especially as a final movie for this trilogy that always implied that it would be about Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. (And even the marketing for this movie focused on them.) There are tons of logic issues. The dialogue was cringe in a lot of scenes. And I didn't care for any of the characters that got killed. You could argue that it's just a slasher film, but I loved the 2018 one and even Kills because they had likeable characters. And if you don't want them to die, it's way more scary. This one on the other hand felt way more like a weird comedic splatter at times. So the acting is good, the score is phenomenal and I think parts of the concept work and would have worked way better as an anthology film within the Halloween franchise. But as a conclusion for this trilogy - I felt it could have been waaay better.

Honestly I feel like the marketing ruined a lot of this trilogy, because the way it was presented, it was supposed to be about Laurie vs Michael. But taking Kills and Ends into account, the story is actually much bigger than that; it's supposed to be about Haddonfield itself, and the looming evil that engulfs not just Michael and Laurie, but the entirety of the town and its people. From the very beginning, with the mom offhandedly commenting on the kid's troubled behavior, and Corey's decent into evil...the trilogy I think expands upon lore that was established quietly in the background of the very first film, where Carpenter always sort of had Michael represent a personification of a much more primordial evil. Yes, Ends is not a perfect film, but it takes a lot of big swings that, as someone that enjoys filmmakers taking major strides to do something different with characterization & symbolism in stories, it really is not only a fantastic love letter to Carpenter himself, but when taken with the other films and Halloween '78, tells a fully realized story about the impact trauma can have on an entire community, and personifies the classic struggle of good and evil in as novel a fashion as Night of the Hunter. And though the terror of Michael may be over, that doesn't mean evil has fully left Haddonfield. But for now at least, the town has a chance to find some peace for themselves, until the next time evil decides to manifest itself again under a new face. Halloween 2018 was a very streamlined but - in my opinion - safe sequel to the original, but I loved the bold decisions made in the subsequent films of this trilogy. I think time will make people appreciate the film a little more for what it is, as was the case for so many other films like H3: Season of the Witch. At this point, I think I actually enjoy this film the most of the three, followed by Kills and Halloween 2018. Ends and Kills I think will flop back and forth depending on my mood, as they are both incredibly different films from each other, which is part of what I think makes them both so great in the first place.

I went into movie completely free of influence from social media and riding high with excitement as a die hard Halloween fan. . . This film had an excellent opening and finale but, man, did they drop the ball on the story. Allyson’s choices throughout this whole movie were incredibly stupid. I didn’t buy the romance at all, and I couldn’t believe that she’d ignore Laurie’s warnings about Corey considering what they’ve been through together. Also, why was everyone in this town a complete asshole? To sympathize with Corey when he murders them? Felt like Rob Zombie’s Halloween all over again. I’m all about making bold choices as a filmmaker, but switching gears right before the finish line seems incredibly misguided. There are plenty of ways to tell a fresh, interesting story that juggles loose threads with established characters that also doesn’t make Michael Myers into a pathetic, crippled, sewer dwelling husk of man for most of the movie.
I think this movie getting the same type of reaction that Halloween 3 got. People went into the movie expecting Michael and instead they got something else.
