Jamie Lee Curtis considers the film a thank you note to her fans. Curtis: "Without that early career, I truly don't think I would have been an actor." Even after 20 years, Jamie Lee Curtis said that seeing Michael Myers on set still scared her. LL Cool J had always been a fan of the Halloween movies. His mother took him to see the original when he was just nine years old. When Jamie Lee Curtis' character says, "go down the street to the Beckers..." this was supposed to refer to the line from Halloween (1978), "go down the street to the McKenzie's house..." The name was changed to Becker, which was the last name of Drew Barrymore's character in Scream (1996). The shortest "Halloween" movie in the series, with a run time of 86 minutes. Michelle Williams signed on without ever having seen any of the Halloween movies. Director Steve Miner also directed two films in another popular horror series: Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) and Friday the 13th Part III (1982). Body Count: 7 (two off-screen) Jamie Lee Curtis refers to the film as "Field of Screams". "If you build it, they will come." Josh Hartnett's first acting project and film debut. Ronny calls Laurie "psycho" as she drives past him when she comes in through the gate. Jamie Lee Curtis' mother Janet Leigh, who appears as Norma in this film, starred in Psycho (1960). During the scene where Norma is leaving, she stands in front of the car from Psycho (1960). The music playing in the background at this part is also from Psycho. Janet Leigh, who plays Norma, played Marion in Psycho. The license plate on the car is also the same as the second car Marion buys in Psycho, NFB 418, which are Norman Bates' initials and lastly, Norma is the first name of Norman Bates' Mother from Psycho. Halloween: H20" is the seventh film in the series. H2O is the chemical symbol for water which has a pH balance of 7.0 Both Nancy Stephens and Joseph Gorden Levitt are dead before their names appear in the opening credits.

I thing. The setting is at a private hs were Laurie is the head mistress. Also, the scene directly after Michael get on the school property and Laurie see's him walking up the path is not a fake scare. Initially we think she is hallucinating, but right after laurie parts with will he spots Michael sneak off into the bushes therefore telling us that it was real and Will inadvertently saved Laurie.

I definitely agree it's not scary nor is it gorey so it ain't all that for a Halloween film but it's also just eh. The beginning and ending are it's strongest parts and the rest of the movie is flat but it's pretty entertaining and at least is a movie unlike 6. Great review as always man!

I like this one. Besides the Original 1978, Halloween II (1981), Part 4 and 2018, H20 is one of my favorites in the Franchise. Probably because it was actually my very first Halloween Movie I ever saw before the other ones.

Matei Bobes H4 was great. H20 was good. Halloween 2018 was amazing. I think Halloween 2018 was the best of the sequels. I don’t know, it’s between Halloween 2 1981, Halloween 4, and Halloween 2018. Three of the best sequels in the series.

That was not a commentary on the movie.. buuut... coulda been? The return of.. (modernized) was a trope with a lot of backing at that time.. hence New Nightmare but with the Scream Visual Polish..hence CG anything.. mostly prephotoshop Photoshop trolling.... Dammit H20 is a Photoshop of a "hence" of what made the previous horror movies cool

Not really much to say about this one. (I know right) As much as I like this movie, I'm in no position to disagree with Luke's criticisms about it. (I mean, I'm very critical of Halloween 4. Although upon a recent rewatch, my enjoyment of it has gone up) But yeah, the masks, Michael's portrayal, lack of autumn and... well... a HALLOWEEN atmosphere, I really can't argue with that. However, I will say that the writing, Josh Hartnett, and Jamie Lee Curtis save this movie from becoming mediocre and that's what makes it great for me. If Halloween 4 was a great Loomis movie, then Halloween H20 is a great Laurie Strode movie. I will say, that if you took the Michael Myers and the atmosphere from Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and put them in this film. You'd have a PERFECT sequel.
