First time watching your channel. Great video and I love your setting and lights. Most of the movies you mention , I never even heard of. - Scary movie (original). Did watched it and the good thing about this movie is the setting, but it's not scary or well acted or even interesting. I would just put it in the background to see a nice haunted house. - Hell fest. Absolutely loved it. It kinda gave me an anxiety attack, but I wanna watch it again. - Dark Harvest. Very gory for some reason. Nice little wicked town. But it isn't a favorite.

That one where all the kids are wearing crimson ghost masks that you described is interesting. Not because I've seen it, but because those masks are a direct result and probably even more well known as the Misfits skull. Then you said the blood pours like rain, which is literally from the Misfits song "Skulls". Didn't know if that was intentional but really funny. Happy accident maybe.

Happy Halloween 🦇 This was my first video of yours. Thanks for the recommendations ☺ - I plan on checking several out. The Collingswood Story (2002) was better than expected when I watched it last year for a 31 Days of Halloween 🎃 challenge. I was THRILLED to see that you are OK with microbudget/indie films because I have a couple of *pet* films (guilty pleasures 🤷♂) that I want to share with you. AS:VS Back In Business (2015 - sequel to 2012's At Stake: Vampire Solutions, free with ads right now on Tubi, plex, & the Roku Channel) ends with a showdown against vamps on Halloween night at a Halloween haunt. Next is Bad Ben 7: The Haunted Highway (2019 - for rent on Amazon & Bad Ben TV) and is a later installment in Nigel Bach's Bad Ben franchise. Though it's been a while since I've seen the movie, Hell Night (1981- free with ads right now on Tubi, plex, the Roku Channel, & Sling TV) seems to be exploiting the double meaning of *hell night*; perhaps the characters mention the pun - I don't recall - of fraternity hazing and the mischief often associated with October 30 (AKA Devil's Night) or Halloween. Lastly, I have 3 TV specials that are all nostalgic perennial favorites of either my childhood or the childhood of my children. The Halloween That Almost Wasn't (1979 - free on KZbin) is a TV movie that I loved when I saw it originally on TV and then was thrilled to share with my youngest daughter (when it became available decades later on KZbin). The legend of Sleepy Hollow (1980 - on KZbin, starring a young Jeff Goldblum) became an annual spooky season tradition in our home as soon as we saw the VHS on sale in the early 90s - nearly wore the tape slap out! My older girls 👭 preferred Garfield's Halloween Adventure (1985 - on KZbin) to Charlie Brown's special - probably the pirate influence 😜. PS: It's a newer, bigger film, so it probably doesn't meet the brief here, but I thought I would mention Cobweb (2023 - for rent on various platforms) as I haven't seen it mentioned on many lists yet. PPS: Probably shouldn't mention this one either due to it's cult status, but I SIMPLY MUST, not just because I'm a fan, but because of the killer 80s soundtrack - Donnie Darko (2001 - free with ads right now on Tubi, Pluto TV, Plex TV, Sling, CW, & Roku Channel). It's such a poignant film, dealing with death perhaps more like It's A Wonderful Life (1946) than say a Jacob's Ladder (1990) or even House (1985).
@mandysmorgueofhorror2 ай бұрын
@@ChristineMHale thank you for the recommendations!! I almost mentioned Cobweb here because I love it
