I watched Blood Tide on Tubi the other day. It stars James Earl Jones (RIP) as someone helping a man and a woman search an island for a missing girl, I believe. The island is home to a sea monster worshiping cult. It's a horror/adventure movie. Kind of a slow burn, but it has great island visuals and some creepy scenes. I was really into it. James Earl Jones is a force of nature in it! His acting is off the charts.

I watched Red State thanks to one of your earlier videos, and I truly enjoyed it! Up until the end anyway, I'm just not happy with the way they went there. But it was super entertaining until then, with some great performances. And I also found Villains thanks to you too, and that was such a fun ride! Great performances there too. Long Pigs sounds amazing, I need to check that one out right now!

I loved Fallen, I keep wanting to rewatch it but it’s never streaming anywhere. I think Slumber Party Massacre is 100% a “feminist” text, I wrote an essay once comparing it to Jennifer’s Body. Some of these are new to me like Camp Host, which sounds perfect as a former van-lifer myself. Glad I found your channel, cool picks.

I generally always find some merit in Shyamalan’s movies, certainly some more than others. Hartnett was really fun to watch but the very ending was a crescendo of ridiculousness. Also was surprised by Tahoe Joe, honestly wasn’t expecting much, but I absolutely love Willow Creek, so maybe not surprising.

A movie about Elizabeth Short leading up to her murder would be even more fictional than the books and movies about the investigation, since not much is known about her. Interesting tidbit: John Simon, the late critic, in his blog said that he and a friend went on a date with her when she lived on the East Coast. True Confessions (1981) is also based on the Black Dahlia case.

Yeah Trap I was waiting for that classic M. Night Shamalyan then again what of that was the twist in itself? Yeah felt the need to watch 30 Days of Night after. Yeah I rewarch Beetlejuice before watching the sequel and I thought that was great. Yeah Milk and Serial brought nothing new but I'm glad I watched it I liked it.

Trap is a fun throwback to the films of the 80’s. The current generations inability to overlook small inconsistencies in the storytelling, has led to a lot of unnecessary negativity. Meanwhile, indestructible masked killers, who turn up at the most convenient times, and just happen to be in perfect position to dispatch helpless people, is completely fine.
