I personally liked Halloween 3 as well. Growing up watching the Halloween franchise, I too was wondering where Michael Myers was in the film, although, after viewing H3 I really enjoyed it. It actually went deeper into the dark magic of what Halloween can represent. The ending was well done. The last commercial didn't end, left my imagination running wild wondering how many children must have died that Halloween night. there is a true evil in the world that people try to ignore exist.

This movie is great. I've always loved it. I read the paperback back when I was still in junior high and later saw the movie on laserdisc when it first came out. Great storyline and eery feel. Not a typical slasher for sure. Some of my other favorite horror films include Tourist Trap and Phantasm. Thanks for uploading your positive review.

H3 is such a fun satirical thriller/scifi flick if you consider it as a stand alone horror piece. Personally I'd welcome something unique like this instead of yet another sequel (i.e., formulaic slasher movie with just a body count, cool synth score and weak script ... like most of the Halloween films after 1983). I like to imagine if the anthology idea worked back then-- we would have had over 30 different holiday-related movies since then. Compare that idea to the Michael Myers sequels. For me it's no contest. Glad you touched on the ending because it's really good, and thankfully not the usual predictable climax to a scary film.

Tom Atkins&Dan O'Herlihy are the best things in this film but the Disturbeding kills especially the one's with the kid&the lady in the motel always give me nightmares at a young age.I do enjoy the score I respect what they was trying to do with this film the ending does piss me off still till this day but this doesn't derserve that BS low rating on IMDB IMO! Awesome review bro.

I'll clear up the female android question FOREVER! Every reviewer gets the female android thing wrong. The girl that Tom Atkins is with until she is kidnapped at the factory IS HUMAN! At the factory the girl is murdered and what the factory has produced is an android copy of this girl that is strapped to the gurney and after Tom Atkins thinks he's rescued the girl (who is actually the android copy of the now dead girl) the girl android tries to kill Atkins. The girl at the beginning and through most of the film is human!-Mystery solved!

Great review and GREAT movie to watch during Halloween time. Not a big Michael myers fan but I do watch this alot more interesting than a guy in a mask killing everybody, in my opinion. Still don't understand how a computer chip and a piece of stone henge collapse your head and causes snake and bugs to come out

They should have forgone the numerical sequence and called the movie Halloween - season of the witch, that would stop some of the confusion, and let people know its not a direct sequel, and they could have done this with the subsequent anthology movies, if they made them

I think slowly but surely this film is getting the credit it deserves. Title aside, it is a pretty sweet horror flick. I wouldn't call it a classic but it is pretty cool. It's like a long Twilight Zone episode or something. I like it.

I love when people say Halloween 3 should not be called "Halloween". At least Halloween 3 had connections to the Holiday more. Halloween 1 and 2 had no connection to the holiday other than Myers happened to attack people on Halloween

Glad you like this one Ramboraph4life I Love this Movie ....( more so than the Mike Myers slasher Movies ) its like a real creepy and sinister "Willy Wonka & the Choc Factory" Meets "WestWord" ...John Carpenters Score and the Atmosphere of the film ...makes it seem like its a John Carpenter film. Props to Tommy Lee wallace though ( i like his stuff ) Isnt someone watching "Halloween" on TV in this film ??

A underated gem, I really enjoyed this film! I love it when franchises it make a fresh original risk! Ok it comes across more like a Twilight Zone than a Halloween! But that doesnt matter! Its a good story, its well paced, good direction, good actors! The Robocop guy makes a great villain! Its creepy, its mysterious from the opening to the terryfying cliffhanger end! The masks are great, the cyborgs are like a dozen Micheal Myers! The kills the set pieces are great, the heros and the villains are great whats not to fucking like! You basically said everything Ive been saying. The only thing is...there was a movie called SEASON OF THE WITCH by George Romero. Shoulda called it SAMHAIN or something with reference to what was going on in the movie. This is, as you say, an underated gem...love this movie! The only weak moments in it were the silly attemots to tie into Michael Myers (Tv coommercials in the movie advertising the movie Halloween). This is a truly awesome flick!

I woulda loved if they stuck with the original idea of a series anthology. It has plenty of problems but it's a great mood piece. The music fits the film like a fucking glove. Amazing ending, and you really feel the suspense of the impending doom. I hate saying this and always lie and say the first one is but this is my favorite of the series.

Hey, I read that there is a navelization of this movie they released around the same time as the movie and it was rereleased a couple years after again. I am an idiot and went to eBay and found it for $6=$5 to ship and bidded on it and then checked later on Half.com and found I could've gotten it for $0.75! Well, I'm hoping to get out bid so I can get it cheaper. Well, what I'm saying is the answers to our questions on this film could be in the book!

Halloween III is my third favorite Halloween movie out of the whole entire movie franchise and I don't care if Michael Myers is not in it. My #1 favorite Halloween movie out of the whole entire Halloween movie franchise is Halloween II (1981) and my second favorite Halloween movie is the original Halloween (1978).

The most simple thing to do is get the correct mask for Halloween 4,5,6,7,etc... H20 had a CGI Michael Myers Mask. Are you telling me in 1988 (Halloween 4 & On) they can't design a rubber mask to look like Halloween 1 or 2??? Are you kidding? Plus the actors they got to play MM in 1988-On Michael is way to tall with floads, way to built. This is simple stuff, the mask & casting an actor who looks like Nick Castle or Dick Warlock's body type?

YES! I generally enjoy Halloween 2, but without it we would not have gotten 4, 5, 6, 7, ad infinite um. Yuck! What a sh-t fest. H3 was a nice tight little horror film that exists in it's own world. Tom Atkins in one of Carpenter's almost stereotypical odd casting choices was great as the Doctor turned Sherlock Holmes, powered by curiosity, boredom, to a lesser extent lust & definitely alcohol. Really nice performance by an actor that nobody but Carpenter would make a leading man. Good film.
