@@Adrconte-rf8is tl:dr That's very wrong, both are Simon. There's this whole series of equipment in one of the games based on what Simon once wore, one of which is "Simon's Plate". This can likely be safely ignored as it also includes a bandana and cloak, however what is indisputable is that Trevor has only been depicted with armor in the original 8-bit games' concept art alongside Simon's, and Judgement, which nobody should consider definitive. In his canon appearance in Curse of Darkness, Trevor wore light brown clothes. Fake Trevor may appear to wear armor, but that's a zombie taking the appearance of Trevor to unnerve Alucard. In the one appearance a Whip Skeleton wore armor, it was called Simon Wraith. Even putting this all aside, the Belmont shown in this video is Simon, in Super Castlevania IV, and in Smash' interpretation of his NES appearance.

Welp, time for me to spend the rest of the day rewatching this video so that Castlevania can have a musical bytes... ALSO SPEAKING OF MUSICAL BYTES LET'S SPECULATE ON HOW A CASTLEVANIA MUSICAL BYTES WOULD BE LIKE (in no particular order): Lament of Innocence: sung from Sara Trantoul (Leon's fiancée who's soul is inside the Vampire Killer whip)'s perspective, as she laments how much her lover and his lineage are suffering due to Matthias/Dracula's rampage. The line "the Belmont is here" becomes the new "three cheers for the count". Beginning: sung from Trevor, Sypha, Alucard and (hopefully) Grant's perspectives, as they sing of their journey ahead and how the Belmont's are still here, despite being formerly excommunicated. Divine Bloodlines: Richter's song starts with his first journey against Dracula, the lyrics showing his determination against evil and how much he secretly enjoys his role as a hunter and how he doesn't want it to end. The second half of the song takes place in his fight in Portrait of Ruin, and how much he regrets letting that wish take hold of him, and how he blames himself for the Belmonts no longer being here. Heart of Fire/Don't Wait Until Night: It's Julius Belmont's time to shine, baby. His song is all about his bravery and strength, and how despite everything, the Belmonts are _still_ here. Could take place either in the war of 1999, his duel with Soma Cruz in Aria of Sorrow, or his final battle with the reborn Dracula in Dawn of Sorrow's bad ending. Now for potential secret songs: Lost Painting: this song shows how much Alucard _and_ Dracula miss the time where they were a happy family, before Lisa was burnt by the church. While Adrian's lyrics are of fulfilling his mother's wish for forgiving and defending humanity, Vlad's lyrics are full of anger and bitterness, and how he just wants to be reunited with his wife (and maybe former best friend Leon), but keeps being given flesh by the humans wishing to pay him tribute and for his war to continue. This one's a sad one, folks. Voyage of Promise: i know this one is a Bloodstained song and not Castlevania, but I think this one should be a good way to celebrate both Koji Igarashi and the franchise he helped create. Of course, it all depends on what Alex wishes for a potential musical bytes, but I still think it's fun to speculate over these things.

You know, it’s sad that the fans are so darn dismissive of Simon and Trevor, they’re good characters and the latter is being expanded upon in the Netflix show. They aren’t lame and frankly, I prefer them and Alucard and Richter over the majority of the anime-like characters later on with few exceptions.

As a Belmont main, especially a Simon one, it's sad to see people prefer Ricker over Simon, i mean both are literally the same with the move sets. Also people say they want alucard in smash, it is a cool idea but what about others, like Trevor, Shypa (idk if I spelled her name right), Soma, or heck maybe even Dracula as a playable character or maybe even Death, I would love to play as him just to kill all of the lugi mains, also I see a potential move set for all of these characters. I'm just really tired of people saying they want alucard in but not mentioning the other characters in the series.
