I really hope Scream Factory puts out another set like this in a few years with Halloween 2018 and the other upcoming films that go with it! Although, I kind of doubt it just because of how difficult it was to get the rights for this box. One can hope though!

This is the way all film franchises should be released on blu ray. One box set, each film gets it's own case, tons of extras, just perfect in every way. To hell with cardboard books and discs cramped into one case with flip holders. This is the way to go. I wish so bad Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street would get this treatment. Shout Factory is top notch with their releases. It's just a beautiful set, highly recommend.

Very nice review my friend. I would like to say I am a Halloween fanatic, but I have been dormant for the last 10 years with respect to my Halloween obsession. Having said that, I just stumbled upon this blu-ray box set a week ago and it is currently being sold at $230 on Amazon. I went to my local Pre-Played store and found it for $89.99! I bought it, went home, and every disc is perfect and scratch free! The booklet was included as well. I am so excited I got all 15 discs for under $100.

the reason for the region B austrailian blu ray for rob zombie's halloween is because the US blu ray for rob zombies halloween looks identical to the dvd and the austrailian blu ray actually looks like a blu ray

Well, I am pleasantly surprised to learn that not only does the H20 Studiocanal mediabook (Region B) have the Creed video which the deluxe edition Anchor Bay/Scream Factory version doesn't, but also a special feature/extra called "Unmasking the Horror", which is not listed as being either on the Anchor Bay/Scream Factory edition of H20, nor on the bonus disc. Unfortunately for anyone who did not order around the time that I did, the extremely low price for which it was then available on Amazon Italy is no longer in effect, but it's still in stock.

The Halloween 4 NSM hartbox (and thus also the Star Metalpak) also has English versions of all special features the version in the set has, in addition to those special features which the box set doesn't have being in English as well, all with German subtitles, aside from the filmographies/biographies, which are in German. Among those special features the hartbox version has which the box set version doesn't are a commentary by Alan B. McElroy, a panel discussion with members of the cast such as Danielle Harris, Sasha Jenson, Kathleen Kinmont, and Jeffrey Landman from part 5, and the Halloween 4: Final Cut featurette. This is in addition to the fact that the disc itself has the Nathan Thomas Milliner commissioned artwork with Jamie holding up the scissors with Michael looking on from the background. Of course, there's a version with that artwork on the cover of the hartbox itself, and it's also the image on the Star Metalpak cover, but I got the one with the original poster image which is limited to 150 copies, as is the Halloween 3 version. These NSM editions are pretty awesome!! I recently ordered the H20 mediabook which suddenly was available for far less than I'd seen before which contains the H20 version of the Creed music video which is the one feature that the version of H20 in the box set is missing, and I have yet to open my ultimate mega super edition 4-disc NSM mediabook of Halloween 2 (1981, of course) which contains all the features of the Scream Factory version, meaning the same features as the box set version, and much, much more, such as the soundtrack on CD, Terror In the Aisles, which, even now sells for $20 or more alone on DVD, etc. I also like the numbers for Halloween 2 and 3 which the NSM versions' spines have as opposed to Roman Numerals, with the font being consistent from one to the next from the Halloween 2 mediabook to the Part 6 hartbox/Star Metapak, which is a fairly minor detail, but still a point of interest for some.

Hey Pizowell great review homie. Just got my box set today and just finished watching producers cut. Looks hella clean but movie is still meh. That was the reason I bought the set cause I have part 1,2,and 3 on bluray. I never wanted the remakes but its there so I have them now, HATED part 2 remake. But always watch your channel and lke the reviews man. Keep up the good work. I paid 90 for my set.

There actually is a new special feature for Halloween 1 that hasn't been included on any other releases (as far as I know). This is also skipped over on a lot of places selling the boxset: There's an additional commentary by Tommy Lee Wallace, Nick Castle, and Dean Cundy.

FYI, all the special features on the NSM region B single disc (hartbox/Star Metalpak) version of Halloween 5 are English audio with German subtitles, as are all the ones on the Halloween III NSM hartbox region B single disc version which has all the special features from the Scream Factory and Scream Factory/Anchor Bay versions, in addition to Nathan Thomas Milliner's commissioned artwork on the disc. However, the Halloween Resurrection NSM mediabook contains a Blu-ray with a making-of that is dubbed and narrated in German. You can make out some of what the cast and crew are saying in English underneath the dubbing, and it's not all that deep anyway, but there's no English subtitle option or anything for that one special feature, but all others have English audio or English subtitles. The same goes for the Spanish Collector's Edition of Halloween 1978. Most special features are English friendly, but Halloween Unmasked is in Spanish with no English audio and no English subtitle option, so the same situation as with the making of from the Resurrection mediabook, with the only difference being that it's exclusively Spanish as opposed to German. Also, oddly enough, though it is marked A, B, and C, it doesn't play in my region B player, but does in my region A player.

No its region looked . If your a collector you can get multi-region blu ray players on Amazon . There a little steep in price but if you want these set then sadly that's the way to go .

I like the shot they used for the image of Michael behind the tree, but the fact that they grunged it up (much like Rob Zombie did with his Halloween movies though, again, I have no sympathy for those who are surprised or disappointed that when Rob Zombie was made the director of the remakes, he made Rob Zombie movies out of them, because what the fuck else was he going to do?) defeats the purpose of such elements of the movie, which was that it's a normal, peaceful suburb and it's disrupted by these murders.

I also heard about the Region B printing on RB's Halloween. It is a Region A disc and it was just a typo as you said in the video.

Well, it turns out that the NSM region B hartbox/metalpak versions of parts 4 and 5 have all the special features of the ones in this Limited Edition Deluxe boxset and more, and the part 3 version has all the same special features as the one from this set, which is identical in everything but packaging to the Scream Factory Collector's Edition, and I personally prefer the NSM commissioned artwork to that of the Scream Factory version. This is not to mention that the 4-disc NSM Halloween II (1981) mediabook contains all the features of the Scream Factory version AND far more special features. That being said, this set contains by far the most feature-packed editions of H20 and The Curse of Michael Myers in existence.

Awesome review. Certainly the best review I've seen for this box set. I've been looking forward to this set ever since it only existed as rumor and myth, but I have to say, I don't really think it's worth the near-$200 price tag that comes with it. I am seriously keeping hope alive that Scream Factory continues their individual DVD/Blu-Ray releases of the franchise. The artwork they put on 2 and 3 was some of the most amazing I've ever seen and they stand as truly complete editions of those films. I would love to see that same treatment given to the rest of the Halloween films, especially a stand-alone release of Curse containing both the theatrical cut and producer's cut (hopefully the rumors are true about this individual release). That said, with the set itself, it is an extreme bummer that it does not contain the theatrical cuts for Rob Zombie's films, as those versions are almost completely different cuts of those films, especially H2. It also doesn't include 25 Years Of Terror, which is a problem for me. Overall, it's a fantastic set, but it just isn't worth such a hefty price.

+pizowell Oddly/Awesomely enough, despite my desire to leave this one alone for a good long while until the price dropped, my best friend actually surprised me with the box set this past weekend. I have to say, the quality of this set is unreal (though my complaint about the exclusion of the theatrical cuts of the RZ films still stands - I still believe the theatrical cuts are the superior cuts by far). I really am impressed with it and I believe it stands as, quite possibly, the best franchise collection ever. You were right in saying that other franchises looking to accomplish this feat could take a few lessons from this one. I think, really, my only other gripe - minor gripe, at best - would be that the TV Cut of the first film should've been on disc 2 in the first film's case and that the Bonus Disc as a whole should've gotten it's own case w/ content listing instead of just being thrown in with Rob Zombie's H2 like some kind of dirty secret LOL.

its interesting now, how they kept changing stories on you. the first 2 connected perfectly. the 3rd wasnt even "Halloween" at all, only by name. (i jokingly refer to as the Halloween frachise's "adopted child") 4-6 had its own story, Lurie was missing or hiding while her daughter was battling Micheal with Loomis. then the story changed again with Loomis dead and Laurie back but this time she doesnt have a daughter but a son and kills the wrong person thinking its Micheal, only to die in the next and Resurection was just to finish it off, so they decided to get Zombie to start from scratch with a reboot which didnt go over to well and the part 2 remake was again to finish it off. it seems they had a hard time keeping it together, but at the same time its fun to explore new possabilities.

I'm pretty sure it is region A locked, but I'm not sure about playing it on your PS4. PS4's are region free when it comes to playing Blu-rays, so I think it may work for you. I'd recommend you research it online first before you purchase just to make sure.

I own the first 7 movies on bluray including the 35th anniversary Id like to get Resurrection and Zombie's because I am a completest, I own H6 and H20 on cheap barebones double feature bluray pack, and my H4 copy somehow got scratched and no longer plays so Im having a bit of a dilemma on whether this is a buy or not and money is tight I hope the price goes down but knowing Shout Factory, it's a small chance

Halloween blu ray 15 disc deluxe addition I paid 79.00 for it and I'm very happy with it's an awesome set and worth every penny, I'm glad I bought because it's out print ,but you can buy it on line very expensive the cheapest I've seen it for now was 170-300 and I've seen a couple of box sets autographed going for 400-600 dollars so buyers beware.
