That all we did was go to houses as a kid but when it came to the trailer park homes the owners would sit outside the trailer park with a huge box of candy to pass out. I guess they should of called it ‘trailer or treat’

There is zero halloween spirit in this and its secretly killing the halloween spirit and destroying the fun in halloween and trick or treating. Having a fun time inst about having a fun time. U can only have true fun by actually celebrating or embracing the spirit of the holiday. I may not be talking specifically about trunk or treats but corporate and business related ideas aren't helping the holidays we really need to keep a perspective on how much spirit and fun is present when we celebrate these holidays. We need to be the best parts of our holidays and celebrate with each other instead of participating in these fake fun activities. Halloween and other holidays is dependent on our efforts to make it fun and embrace the spirit and trunk or treats are m generally less engaging and vibrant than trick or treating

Nothing like regular Trick or Treating Trunk Or Treat sucks. I dress up and entertain the kids and give out candy we sometimes have some here and there sometimes a bunch of kids 🎃my neighborhood is pretty safe so there is hope here

This is a good new way of doing Halloween for it makes a walking street kind of event experience. When I was a kid in the 70's and 80's, I used to go trick or treating knocking on house doors alone. Got nailed by green tomatoes by the bully who got those out of garden while ball lightening streaked across a roaring booming sky. I was the Count Dracula every Halloween.

trunk or treating is just a halloween event mainly done at festivals or churches. my church does one every year, its pretty fun. nothing is being ruined its just a fun little event before halloween, dont be so negative.

I don’t know the purpose of trunk or treat but I think it started at the Christian churches to minimize the negative evil aspects of Halloween 🎃. Actually when you really get down to it you are asking a child do you want a treat or the trunk? Essentially implying that the kid will get kidnapped and put in the trunk instead of getting a treat. It really should be called “treats thru trunk”

It significantly reduces trick or treating within neighborhoods. When I was kid, ALL the kids were out and about. Every 30 feet, you'd be passing another group of kids. Nowadays, I'm sitting on the porch as an adult, waiting for a kid here ... a kid there... tiny group here.. etc. Then I'm left with a giant bowl of candy because there were so few. I much prefer regular trick or treating.
