Halmahera Indonesian Blue Tongue Skink Care Guide

To anyone happening upon this video for Halmahera BTS care: In 2020 I got one and had to do a lot of digging to find best practices. This video comes to all the same conclusions I did after a year and a half of husbandry. It's an excellent source of information, doing everything in this video has kept my lizard happy and healthy.

I'm getting Halmahera blue tongue tomorrow. I'm adopting him from his foster mom who rescued him from severe neglect. He almost lost a leg from bad sheds, but his leg was spared after a lot of soaking. He is missing all his toes on his right back foot but he is good and healthy now otherwise. I'm so excited to get him home with me.

I absolutely love my Indonesian blue tongue skink. He’s under 1 year and he’s done so well adjusting to socialization in the month or so we’ve had him. I love when he stretches out to bask and looks so peaceful when he closes his little eyes ❤️ thanks for all the helpful info!

Thank you! It's probably closed to 3 years old now. Not full grown yet, it's about over a 12 inches long now.
