That room with a million Hunters and shit is godawful. Cortana says "oh maybe you should sit this one out" but that doesn't work and there's a million fuel rod guys who are apparently completely invincible ready to blow you up a new one. And that's not even mentioning the Hunters.

yes it is, but the trick on that part is to attack the right enemies first and having the right weapon combo, which in this case is the fuel rod gun and the sword, get the laser sword out, run to where the white elites spawn, meele and granade each one of them then take cover before firing at the hunter on the middle of the room, if you did it correctly you will breeze through this fight and finally finish this god awful level

In my opinion, the Mausoleum part is a little bit too short, and if you're on a lower difficulty, you won't get to enjoy Blow Me Away/Breaking The Covenant as much as you should.

One might imagine energy shield had an effect, though gravemind could simply have chosen not to since arbiter was more useful as himself

Gravemind needed Chief and Arbiter to find the index for him. Infecting them would have been a waste since they would be just another two combat forms and Tartarus would have activated Halo uninterrupted and destroyed everything.

I just played through Halo 2 on the og Xbox on normal difficulty. This level in particular was a damn nightmare at times. Best thing you can do is, if possible, just run past enemies and go straight to the next door when entering a new area. Saved me some real headaches. Also anyone who completed this game on Legendary on the og xbox is a damn legend(pun intended)

the par time on this level is 20 minutes. I have been playing uninterrupted for 3 hours on normal and still can’t get passed all these elites. It’s situations like this that make me want to drop the series forever

@@alphacraig2001 Thanks man. Apparently there's a lot more to get through this level than most. One guy said it was one of the harder levels in the whole franchise. Basically I'm stuck against the ( I think they're elites although they LOOK more like Brutes) and all I've got is a stupid pistol that the grunts carry. I've tried running and grabbing a plasma rifle off one of their dead, I've tried fancy footwork. It seems that no matter how I blast away at them they won't die (and yes I'm using the sights). I got tired of getting killed so much. I'd rather be up against Flood than them. I'll figure it out eventually

@@sbentjies Depends of the level - on outskirts you can use the machine gun on the second floor to take them out before they can fire at you - on gravemind, the first hunters will be a pain because the room is too small to move around quickly, so be patient and try to grenade their back and shoot them at same time - also on gravemind's final area (the brute vs elites encounter) the best choice is the fuel rod gun due to being able to damage the hunters without needing to aim at their weak spots, just aim at their torso and you will kill them in a few shots
