I like how its day time in the cutscenes and then its suddenly dark out when the level actually starts. I like to imagine the Arbiter just kinda stands there until night falls, doing absolutely nothing.

People hate this level, but I think it definitely has the best atmosphere. Probably one of my favorite halo missions

I think the graphics for Halo 2: anniversary are great, especially in the Sacred Icon and Quarantine Zone gameplay. It gave me chills looking in the distance at the library as you got closer to it

Halo 2's missions "Sacred Icon" and "Quarantine Zone" haft to be my most favorite missions and most memorable. I remember Sacred Icon mainly because of the cutscene, the sound effects, the atmosphere, and the skybox of the Library. Quarantine Zone used to be one I always would non stop play. I think it was my fascination with war and just seeing out much of a mess the war on Delta Halo was. Thank you Marty O'Donnell for your beautiful music. It has inspired me so much.

Not the most fun level gameplay-wise, but the ambience is one of the best here. The Forerunners' bulky, yet ornate architecture, with lots of lights and rich textures. The ethereal music. The creepy, distant hisses of the Flood. Very nice.

7:30 arbiter didnt even realise he just released the most ruthless, and dangerous enemy in the galaxy, and will spend the next game and a half trying to fix his mistake.

@masturch33f66 the shield wall is what contained the flood from spreading out of the quarantine zone to the rest of the ring. Sure, the flood was on the gas minining station, but that was cut loose and plummetted to the core of the gas giant. After arbiter lowered it, the flood was free to spread, you can see the shield lowering at that timestamp. That moment sealed the fate of the rest of the halo trilogy.

1:15 2 Things: A) Sacred Icon and Quarantine Zone are meant to take place during Delta Halo and Regret (Master Chief couldn't have been clung by the Gravemind for Several Hours), and B) The Prophet of Truth sounds remarkably similar to how he did in the original Halo 2, Michael Wincott refused to Voice him again (Terence Stamp to took over).

CuriousUserX90 it's odd because the exchange of the guard wouldn't have been a quick decision so the beginning scene of the sacred icon would have to take place at least DIRECTLY after the death of Regret, the time in which chief was captivated by the grave mind is kind of out of proportion

Why? Chief could have been kept prisoner by the Gravemind for a long time, there's no way to know.

Alex Cregan at the beginning of the cutscene you see chief getting dragged into the room and Cortana say “What, is that?” Chief couldn’t have been there a long time.

This game looks so fantastic, but it annoys me to no end that at no point did anyone in the production team notice that the opening cutscene had the library and quarantine zone in full daylight, but the level occurs at night time!!

I always wondered what's the phantom at 15:00 It's just floating there, no dialogue or anything. I'm assuming it's Tartarus trying to help you but it's just so random especially cuz it leaves right away
