@CalmCalamity2000 The song matches in that the Halo universe is a "Mad World" The song also pertains to Halo's lore: "Going Nowhere"= humanity has nowhere to go against the Covenant. "Tears filling up their glasses"= literal and figutrive. Covenant glass Reach, millions die, tears are shed. school=John-117 and the Spartans training. Also can be compared to Elites realizing everything they have learned and put faith to were lies. There are many ways you can look at this,and commentingwontallow..

It's funny how this song fits all these games.. I mean this song will always remember me of Gears of War, but it fits any game that has to do with war... The developers of Halo missed a major marketing opportunity with this song though.. It will alway be connected with Gears of War... Well at least for me

Ahhh Halo, the game series I`ve always loved. A somber story of humanity being pushed to the brink of distinction. But the reason it's so sad is because humans over-glorify themselves. I look at every living being on earth as equal; humans treat themselves not as animals, but more important. This rift sickens me, humans are not as important as they`re said to be. People die, death is the most important cycle of life. "we" refuse to believe this.

If you read the books this song makes perfect sense and it will be more depressing then Gears of War You see Halo starts after the books therefor if you dont read the books you get alot of questions -_-" like why MC was in a cyro tube in the beging of Halo1 or why he was the only spartan and why cortona was like Blah blah blah in halo 3 im not gonna tell you tho... @UVCatastrophemusic I love both series. Gears seems more emotional because of the way the plot is displayed. But Halo is also very depressing because of the genocide an the tole the war has taken on the human beings. But I believe Gears takes it with the scene tai committs suicide. It really pissed me off that the locust broke him down like that. The face Marcus made was enough to explain, he was speechless.
