Now I'm 40 and I can agree that this time period was a magical time for gaming. I remember gaming with my best friend who put me on to Halo originally with Halo 2. He and I used to go to all the midnight releases together and play like every day....Id get that text from him around 930 at night "hey fool, get online" and wed play til 2 am. I'd kill for that text now...he sadly passed away from cancer 2 years ago but man this video took me back to some good times. Thanks for posting this 15 years ago. What a great video!

I remember being 9 years old on Christmas morning getting an Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 2 and Halo 3 along with 3 halo figures from McFarlane toys. And I remember beating the game and crying because SGT Johnson died. This game single handedly created the best memories a kid could have, playing split screen with my cousins and having lan parties within one household, staying up till the early hours of the morning and just loving life. I should had never said I wanted to grow up.

I attended two midnight releases Halo 3 and COD MW2. My local gamestop had a 1v1 tourney with the winner winning a copy of the game for free with a line of of competitors that weaved inbetween the isles of an adjacent Blockbusters. Sadly I came in 2nd but man was it fun. I remember the ride home after picking up halo and examing the case over and over with that new game smell.

Halo 2/3 are the best games ever made and I will debate this to the end of my days. I loved Warzone 2020 during Covid but the amount of hype and excitement you got from picking up a Xbox case with the game in it, you felt like you were the Master Chief.
