Life was simpler. Technology was still developing and everything felt new and exciting. video games, music, the internet, everything had a corny, cheesy but endearing charm to it. Now, everything is so corporate and controlled. The internet isn't as "free" and wild as it used to be. And video games are now being seen as a way to make quick money by greedy publishing companies rather than mediums to tell a great story. I don't know. @WaifuWarsRacing5 жыл бұрын
@@1StIwY1 gaming is a business and the big companies need continous profits from their products to cover production costs. I know there are some companies that completely fail to implement it the right way and some that do it correctly. But to say games are automatically bad because of DLC or such is dumb. Apart from a few companies and studios, most of the industry still cares about quality. The difference is that we live in a fast-paced world and they need to be quick, otherwise the industry will leave them behind. I understand where this point comes from, but it is invalid once you understand how these companies need to work and the real cost of producing a videogame is. Older games didn't have what we have now in terms of DLC and such because it was hard to implement, when it was possible to do such thing, everyone did it, EVERY COMPANY, because that's what they are and they need profit, and sales alone won't cover that anymore.

I mean, I'm 15 and kind of already feel "nostalgia" because I didn't grow up with a PS4 or Xbox One, I played an Xbox 360 all the way up until a few years ago. Halo 3 was the first game I ever played(besides *new* super mario bros. for the ds). We also had an OG Xbox which I played Halo CE on. And now I still go back and play those from time to time.
