If you forego the banshee rush, and continue to kill the remaining Covenant, you will be rewarded with the greatest stealth mission in the whole campaign. About 10 Elites come out at the middle floor, which you can kill from the balcony above, or on the level (which is much harder as they all have grenades), then a fuck ton of them on the ground floor, which you can kill from the balconies. Then once you kill all the visible ones and reach the ground floor, you get a final checkpoint as you leave the door, and grunts with FRs and needlers will spawn behind you, and three elites will spawn from the door to the left side. Also an elite will spawn on the first floor. Go up and kill it. When you have mopped them up, go to the far door past the dropship, and there will be another large squad waiting for you. You can catch them by stealth by entering the first door and going through the corridor, so you come up behind them. To me it is the best part of the whole level, and usually overlooked.

19:59 Fun fact: One of the grunts dropped off from the ship wields a fuel rod cannon, but every single time you reach that point, that grunt always dies from the fall. Weirdly enough, the fuel rod cannon never damages anyone around it when it explodes.

picked up the MCC last weekend and have been playing CE and am having a blast replaying these levels years later. Was fuckin stuck hard at the end of this level, pretty sure at 28:27 those elites under that overhang spawn forever. took out 10 of them before just saying eff that and then proceeded to die another dozen times trying other ish before I gave up to watch how Act Man approached it. Way easier this way lol. Lovin these vids, def glad to have found this channel!

Replaying the level, I was curious to see what you encountered by not just jumping down and booking it to a banshee at the end. There was one point where the Spec-Ops elites spawned infinitely one at a time until you just ran through. I had killed 5 or 6 of them in the same doorway and they kept spawning until I ran past. At the ground floor door, once you kill like the 6+ elites down there and leave the doorway, another like 3 spawn ahead of you, and fuel rod grunts spawn behind you. Basically felt like I was playing halo 2 all over again since they drain your shields in 5 rifle shots, except your shields regenerate much slower.

I find the Carrier Forms to be the lowest common denominator. I mean, think about it. All your other friends got all the awesome tentacles that can kill a supersoldier, or wield weapons with little to no effort. Or in Halo 3, become the badass crawler or a tank form. What do you do? "Oh, I sneak up on people and explode messily. Doesn't work all the time." Sucks to be them, really.

Sure they may look pathetic, but don't lose sight of them. Especially on legendary. I kept getting swarmed by combat forms in the library and had to backtrack and ran straight into the gasbags. Lord help you if there are grenades lying around near them. Not to mention when they're in groups and one stumbles and goes BOOM it sends it friends flying behind you and you're either in for a carpet bombing or swarmed by popcorn.

Oh yes, in CE, they trigger grenades, both the frags and the plasma grenades. Like you said, Lord help you if they died on top of a few elites, who dropped more grenades than they can carry.

That was probably my least favorite mission i'if the campaign. Seemed to me so difficult with all the crossfires going around between factions. The section are in close corridors unlike to betrayals, and you can die so easily.

I think when you switch between graphics the hunter blood sometimes doesnt show up due to a glitch, even when you go the other way.

I can't help but remember the glitch showcased on the PC version of this game that lets you basically skip this whole level by abusing a little push mechanic when one of those cover shields pops back up that pushes you out of bounds and lets you basically walk right to Keys...provided you do it backwards or the game knows what's up and kills you xD

Hey the Act man and your other channel a lot so I thought I'd post this here but I have a prediction about halo 6 am I opinion every Halo game has two goals in them for example Halo 2 defend earth then it turned into kill the prophets halo 3 defend earth then take the ark and kill the flood halo 4 find a way off The planet then it turned into stop the bad guy so I feel halo 6 Will be first gather reinforcement such as the spirit of fire the swords and any other fleets that survived then take the fight to Cortana

I know it is pointless to say this now, but if it is too bright in anniversary, turn the brightness all the way down in the settings. Fucking Christ, it's not like the game comes completely as-is. The old version looks like fucking playdo.

The problem is the environment is too bright, lowering the brightness for everything doesnt help
