Choir chanting in the boys' bathroom intensifies
So uhhh I can explain why there's randomly a video out in the middle of the day on a Thursday. I follow this VGM-cover-sharing site called GameGrooves which just last afternoon put out a #QuickfireCoverChallenge where they challenged artists to make a one-take cover in just 24 hours. Since my piano vids suit that criteria very nicely, I was wondering what song to pick and then remembered that I've been itching to play this tune!
Ever since my cover of "Another Rain" from Halo 3: ODST came out (which has been absolutely exploding on Spotify thanks to you guys!), I've been looking for more opportunities to cover Halo soundtracks. A friend on a co-op I was working at suggested Warthog Run from Halo 3 (a tune very similar to this), and I'll probably come back and try my hand at that rendition sometime in the future! But for now, I decided to keep it basic and learn this iconic main theme. With less than a day to work on this, I'm pretty proud of how the end result came out!
I'll still be releasing a video on Saturday, so stay tuned for that. It's been pretty crazy recently so get ready for some crazy music videos coming up!

Thanks! Actually, the reason I started a piano channel was because I couldn't take lessons anymore, so there's definitely possibilities to keep learning even without having a teacher!

Hey, this is awesome! I've been playing with some 3D effects like these, and I must say it has been very tricky to completely match the 3D perspective of the notes layer with the keyboard. It's like I'm fiddling around with no real reference point 😄 you seem to have quite some videos of experience on it already, and your layer looks like it's matching perfectly. Great job! Any tips for manipulating the layer orientation in space? 👽 keep rocking!
