As far as I’m aware, it’s the packaging and exclusive artwork print.

The only differences are the spine design of the book itself and the included art print + casing for the book. The regular edition is only the book itself with master chief on the cover.

Does the encyclopedia showcase some of the newer armor styles or just your basic variations we are used to seeing?

It has a couple of new helmets in it. I haven't got that deep into it so am not sure if there is more depth to the armour further in!

@@HaloEvolvedYT Having gotten my copy and reading through it all, I absolutely loved it. I do feel though they could have touched up more on the newer armor variants, kinda like how the essential guides and older encyclopedias did. I'd like to see a guide dedicated to purely Halo armor and weaponry in all honesty.

What is the artwork of?

I know you just got it, but so far how does it live up to the 2009 version? I'm still waiting on mine... but am questioning why I spent $50 extra for a piece of artwork and a different cover lol. I guess I figured it's kinda rare for official Halo encyclopedias to drop so I wanted the best possible version. I remember the one I had in 09' was so satisfying to read, mainly because the layout was visually interesting. I've heard good things about this, but haven't seen anyone talking about how it compares to earlier versions other than having updated lore.

I'm really enjoying it - it feels like it has the same amount of depth as the original Encyclopedia, but it also has some great new depth to it. I think it delves into the background a little bit more and it is really enjoyable. I'd say it is absolutely worth picking up and diving into!
