I went to a demo in a FLGS a couple of weeks back and the rules are different enough that you'll notice but keeping the streamline and fun nature of Deadzone. Can't wait to get my Spartan edition in :-) And then it's a case of waiting for my wave 2 pre-order.

The Spartan edition looks good. Enough variety to mean there is some longer term play in the box. Looking forward to mine arriving through my local shop. I think mantic made a bit of a mister in putting 2 sets of the same Spartans in the recon edition. I think I would have been better value if you got one of each of the 8, with some colored base rings to identify the red and teams.

I agree, but the marketing was probably to push the Spartan over the Recon. Looking forward to getting this on the table.

i got my spartan edition yesterday, only issue I noticed is, either the base of the models are warped or the models themselves are leaning a bit. Noticeable on some models as you expect them to stand straight. Please do painting videos for these models

You may be able to dip into hot water to fix the base. Look that up.

Good stuff on this box. You can use hot water, put the bent piece in it for a few seconds and move the bent pieces straight. I should be putting some painting videos soon. Thanks for watching
