I think Devs have really done their best with the AI interactions. Every brute, elite or grunt reacts verbally to what is currently happening near them. Makes the game a lot more livelier than the prequels.

Halo CE had similar AI and voice elements. But had significantly better human/marine AI and interactions, including marines reacting to the player shooting in proximity, body swing to in accordance to vehicle momentum, four or so body hit flinch animations (none of the later games had any, essentially). The attention to detail was a lot higher 20 years ago...

The first boss on legendary difficulty is brutal, for anyone wondering the best way to take him down is spam plasma and spike grenades but make sure you stick him. It’ll automatically break his shield and you can then start taking his health away. Use your grapple hook to run from him do not fight him head on you won’t win.

Tell me about it! It's amazing he didn't die. No strafing, ate a ton of bullets, grenades. His exchange with the blade master was a pure miracle he survived. Also, it seemed like he avoided a lot of weapons. To his credit he did figure out how to kill hunters near the end, and he learned the sentinel beam is a great weapon.

Lack of time or scrapped at the last moment, probably then used the assets for the first mission. I guess they wanted a very somber beginning and introduce the Pilot early on before any gameplay so it doesn't feel sudden. I remember 2 years that they confirmed this was a few hours into the game but I guess my theory confirms it. Hell, Schreier confirmed it today in his new article

For those who couldn't tell already, the Harbinger is a primordial. The primordials were the only beings capable of creating tech superior to that of the creations of the Forerunners. They believed that all tech, all constructs, were alive. The Harbinger improved the forerunner design to penetrate their near indestructible metal, as said by The Weapon herself. The Harbinger was trying to release the Flood. The Endless Ones, were the Flood. The thing being hidden on that ring, was the location of the Flood. If they were go be released, there would be no stopping them. But, in the end, if humanity does stop them, they gain control over the Mantle of Responsibility. The Flood is the great barrier, the test to choose the greatest species of them all. According to the Primordials, the Humans were always destined to gain control over the Mantle. So the Forerunner's betrayed the Primordials, to forcefully gain control over the Mantle, and eradicate the ancient humans. We all know how that went.

The Endless are not the Flood this is constantly addressed throughout the game. They're a species called the Xanalyn who are immune to the Halo rings. (Tho I do strongly believed they're related to the Precursors as there are heavy implications)

Infinite is cool and all, but it still lacking a lot and the story is cliche af. The big bad monkey in this game just feels like a big ass whiny baby to me. He got his army wrecked by what ? 1 dude with an AI and a thief ? And then proceed to act as he’s winning Dont forget that in Ce and 2 chief was never really alone like in infinite. He was a hero, but not on his own like this. With that said Im looking foward to the DLC. Hope theyll make it work

Atriox seems to specialize in plot-armor supported sneak attacks. It happened when he defeated red team and they suddenly stumbled around in the darkness as if they didnt have nightvision. And this time too he appeared basically out of nowhere, somehow disarmed chief in the first attack. and of course chief didnt carry a sidearm at that moment. or grenades. dunno. i would have preferred if they had fought properly and chief lost. but the it was done it felt unsatisfying.

Just finished the first part of this walkthrough, and I’m blown away by the scale of HALO INFINITE’s world. The graphics are top-notch, and playing without commentary really lets you get lost in the game. Does anyone else feel like they’re actually part of the Halo universe while playing? I’ve got to say, the silent moments in space are just as impactful as the epic battles. 🌌🔫

Really good visually, Good if a bit formulaic game-wise, and god-awful in terms of writing and characterization. Dialogues and monologues seem written by a 13 y/o. The AI is by far the worst offender in both her iterations (Cortana whispering lover-like bs after a while really becomes intollerable). The pilot guy always whining is really annoying as well. The fact that this is what Western audience appreciates really goes to show nobody is reading a damn book in his life anymore

While there are good moments sprinkled throughout the game and it’s fun to play, the story as is doesn’t really go anywhere (DLC will fix that however) and overall package lacks the special charm (varied levels, more linear yet well crafted gameplay, a gosh darn tank mission) found in previous Bungie Halos

The original Halo trilogy was powerful because we followed the same characters for three consecutive games and watched all of them reach their end (good or bad) in Halo 3. This trilogy established little to no emotional connections so it's impossible for this game to have the same impact. This story was doomed from the start

​@@thesacredhecker What's so amazing about the story? 343 Studios expect players to buy books and comics to understand the whole story, same thing has been happening since Halo 4. This is the reason the Bungie games are superior, they never had to rely on anything else but the games to tell a concise story. After the ending of Halo 5, anyone would think the least 343 would do was finish the story within the next game, not use lame-ass cutscenes and audiologs throughout it to make it look like they finished the story successfully. With all its defects, Halo 4 was the last decent game of this franchise, 5 and now Infinite just poured a ton of concrete in Master Chief's tomb. Game over.

This was insane. Just when you think its over....its going for to more hours. And just when you think its over....its going for 3 more hours. And then just as its about to end...it goes for 2 more hours. I climbed enough mountains. Rode enough elevators, walked enough miles. Drove enough vehicles to do a complete trip to the sun and back and then back to the sun and then back to home. I am so glad its over. Its bedtime now, my eyes, ears and head hurt. Need rest humans.
