If only my friends that were last online 10 years ago still played with me... Additional information: Firefight is coming back later in the season. They seem to be bringing in an "arena" style firefight but not like the old style of choosing a map and having a proper playlist game mode for it. Who knows, it could be better. They have been pretty hush hush on it. I just want the old style personally. Seems like 343 is finally starting to understand how to update their game. For some, it may be too late. I will say that it's fun to jump in and out of multiplayer when I want to. With the addition of the new game modes and custom games giving XP in the new update I can actually see myself playing this from time to time to relax and have fun. I'm curious if they will stick with Infinite or just jump ship and move onto the next Halo game soon. Only time will tell...

I miss the credit system and customization of reach and their unique level titles for each rank. You could see a guy with an insane armor effect with base armor cause that’s what they cared about ppls armor really used to be super unique and tell a story

Husky Raid originated during Halo 3 Customs, the creator just though the name was cool. Husky Raid became part of Halo 4 Action sack, one of the most popular and fun playlists from that game, so it was brought back again for 5 and Infinite. Great video, btw.

You are correct for feeling that the campaign is "off". It's because of the hellish development of the game that 2/3 of it got cut. The entire campaign experience we get to play is essentially act 1 of a 3-act story. That's why they tease a desert section at the end and show off Atriox before abruptly ending. It wasn't supposed to tease the next Halo you were supposed to get to play in that desert and Atriox would take over as the lead villain.

I think the reason the second half of the campaign felt off was because there was no proper conclusion and that they wanted to keep it open for some dlcs to the campaign but don't currently have the people or resources to do so yet. Note fire fight was announced at the end of the season 5 trailer to come sometime in season 5.

Another great review. I remember playing this for hours when it came out but then one day, just stopped.... I still have a group that plays every so often so I should group up with them. The trick to getting kills like Mint Blitz is to learn how to spawn control, then abuse that power. It also helps if you artificially lower your MMR (Match Making Rank) by losing on purpose. Then you can get into lower level lobbies and absolutely thrash them.

For the more rank rewards question I believe helioskrill should come back, I remember when mcc came out on pc, me and my brother played every halo on legendary to get the Legend achievement. It’s a shame the only in game reward for it is a badass armor that only exists in halo 5.

I actually really enjoyed the Halo Infinite story. It is by far the best 343i entry. I 100%'d it on Legendary. Having said that though, it was no Halo 2/3, nor Reach. I wish it shared some more aspects with those stories. Especially Reach, the darker tone of that game lingers with me to this day.

Bonnie Ross, Frank, and Kiki were originally the ones in command so with all the issues that went down in 343 during their Rule and all the stories from former employees. Safe to say they did not know and possibly did not care what was going on. It was a do what I say that's it. Especially given H5 was a good example of poor leadership when its clear there was originally a focus that never came to be. Same as H4 in the conventional phase. Aside from that if anyone can benefit and improve the game it is most certainly Pierre Hintz. The man who managed to reorganize the team who worked on MCC to improve it.

Let's not cross wires. We have absolutely no way to measure the playerbase on xbox, or the xbox app on PC. People just love to use steam charts to measure engagement and it's not remotely accurate for cross-platform games. KZbinrs love to do this to tons of games and it makes absolutely zero sense.

So, been playing infinite again since season 5 looks like it’s gonna be awesome, and I’ve honestly been having a blast! But man I wish customization was just what it used to be. I miss having my own colors instead of some destiny style shader system, and I’m just not big on their core idea. My ideas for these would be to bring the old color system back, but maybe sell armor patterns instead of colors (I.e. selling a camo pattern for the armors, giving us more customization) and my idea for the cores would be more Spartan outfits (with cross core customization of course), and an Elite core to bring playable elites back. I also miss the old emblem system as well, but love the nameplate idea that they have also, so bring the best of both worlds I say! It feels like they’re making a step in the right direction when it comes to customization, but man I seriously hope they would use these ideas and make it like old halo customization, but with more (such as AI’s, and everything else that’s new that they’ve brought in that adds more). One other cool thing that I would absolutely love to see (although not necessary, just a neat idea) is for co-op campaign, instead of both players being chief, the host would be master chief, and the others would be their multiplayer Spartans. To me it would make sense since the infinity crashed in zeta halo with chief, and he teams with some surviving Spartans. Sorry for the long comment, just would really love these things, customization has always been the biggest thing in halo for me, along with its story and gameplay, and they’ve nailed gameplay, I liked the story so much, but man customization still feels kinda lacking (although getting better hopefully).

Man I haven't played Halo in eons. Halo 3 was THE game my friends and I played after school back in the day. The Middle School and High School eras were us rushing home to hop into customs or Doubles depending on who was available. We all sorta slowly dropped off with Reach because Customs weren't as good. So while we spent a good year with it, we eventually all fell out. We bought Halo 4 hoping to recapture the magic, and I was the only one who kept playing, (eventually becoming pretty highly ranked in the SWAT leaderboards, and getting some ungodly ridiculous player rank) but I got burnt out. Didn't play 5 or the MCC because Halo just didn't feel the same anymore, and I didn't pay Infinite any mind at all. But... Damn man, this looks fun as hell. Maybe it's just the nostalgia slapping my brain across the face but I wanna give it a shot.

It's worth your time. There's 16 playlist and around +55 maps. Next week we'll have even more maps, more game modes and, finally, AI in forge. And firefight is coming in a couple of months, so it's better to try it now.

Halo 5 definitely has the most content of any halo game, and I love that game. Infinite is getting there for sure, but what I want more than anything , is a complete port of H5s weapon sandbox. I simply DO NOT like infinites weapons…everything feel janky, with a mix of bloom AND recoil, aswell as underpowered feels (shotgun). H5 had the best weapon sandbox in my opinion and I want it back
