I can confirm the shot comes from the feet. Getting in the passenger seat of the Mongoose or a 'hog shows it coming from there. It is impossible to damage yourself with it, too. Also, you will need to jump when aiming down to avoid the ground eating your shots.

@@Cyraxior It's really not that hard without the scorpion gun. Bandana skull already trivializes a lot of combat. Sword actually works with black eye on this game, which is insane when combined with infinite grapple. and there's no iron skull.

About the restarting the mission, as far as I know when restarting you keep the current weapons you have with their level of ammunition, so restarting a level doesn't quite work the way you think it would.

Pro tip: Be mindful with the grapple shot while using this. Was about maybe 5 missions into my legendary run and i entered a room, game gave me a checkpoint and then i used the grapple shot to move around a bit faster. accidentally grabbed a plasma rifle and upon doing so the game immediately gave me another checkpoint like 2 seconds after my first one. so i restarted the mission still didn't have it so now i have to restart my legendary run completely

yes you keep your collectibles. i just did a second playthrough only for skulls and i had all of my already acquired collectibles

Collectibles are tied to your profile, not your savegame. So if you start a new game and get the things you missed and then load your old game your old game will have them too. The only thing that doesn't carry over for some reason is armor lockers.

Did you figure out what the button does in that mission? Its on the down ship near the spartan core and the elite in the back hidden room.

There are 3 buttons. One is behind you when you get out of the building, on a piece of wreckage. The third one is shown in the video, the second is somewhere in the wreckage on the hill on the right. If you press all 3 a orbital bombardement will clear the landing zone for you.

Not completely. If you are in the mission right after this one (recovery its called i think) and you click restart, it puts you back in front of the pelican and you can still grab it. After that, its done.

Considering that it’s sitting there for us to find, I’m pretty sure this is completely intentional by 343. Since we know how difficult and rage inducing legendary difficulty is solo, so things like this that make the gameplay vastly easier is totally fine in my book.

Also I did some testing and you can use armor ability’s while using it, you just can’t throw grenades. So all maneuverability and agility is still there only now with firepower to match!

Guys can someone help me please? I love Halo I have played them all. I bought a gamer portable and brought the Xbox Game Pass, and I installed all the Halo. But I finished Infinite last week on Normal and started another on Legendary. When I opened that big gate and got out, I went right back there to activate the first button. When going to the second inside the ship, I died twice but I got there and pressed the second button. I went with the harpoon attached to the outside of the ship to the cannons button and activated the third one, but the problem is that at the top of the cannon, the "prompt" to pick up the Cannon weapon did NOT appear. I did restart mission, did it all over again without dying and still the same. NOTHING APPEARS TO CATCH THE CANNON WEAPON. I still haven't closed the base for myself so as not to record the game with the base already mine but without the Cannon weapon. I repeat the mission and DO NOT APPEAR IN IT. Can anyone tell me how do i do it now? I don't have much time because I work outside my country. That's why I really want to grab this Cannon weapon to have the same pleasure as you blowing up the Boss's faster. I really appreciate your help...

Thing is the AA gun doesn't shoot and what's more, it's a fixed part of level geometry, not it's own model. The gun is a fixed part of the ship. So it can't even be a scrapped idea because the gun literally cannot work. I guess it was just intentionally put there as a easter egg like the scarab gun in Halo 2

I was watching a devs react to halo 5 speedrun. And the developer (who also worked on infinite) said they don't patch glitches that the average casual gamer isn't going to find as long as it doesn't crash the game or things like that. Like in halo 5 there's tons of out of bounds glitches where you literally skip chunks of the game that they knew about and kept. They think glitches are fun. So this may stay in even if not intentional.

BE CAREFUL if you get this. I made it almost all the way through on legendary with the help of the cannon. Accidentally grappled another weapon with the grapple hook while the cannon was equipped. CANNON GONE. Restarted the mission. That worked before. It started me with the weapon I accidentally grappled.

Yeah it’s good to save and quit. But like Zahin said don’t drop the gun and if you do immediately restart your checkpoint
