I’m going to say this off the bat: They absolutely have to open up customization. Not being able to use your helmets, wrists accessories, accessories in general, coatings, etc, with all the new items is a crime.

They actually mentioned that this season they’re gonna start implementing that system in, starting with stuff like Helmets and Gloves I believe. The reason it won’t be in all at once I suspect has to do with them needing to fix textures on each individual model for every coating and all the combinations associated with that stuff. I hate that it’s late, but I will just be happy to see it come when it does.

They try hard to ignore feedback and go their own way, like nobody asked them to fix speedrunning techniques six months in or remove jumps, two days after a major HCS event where pros used them, they are just detached from the fan base and do what they want, figures that the game would suffer from low population ...

The challenge based battle pass+armor core system would kill my incentive to grind this game even if it had enough modes, maps, and so on. Challenge based battle passes limit diversity based on game modes, weapons, and playstyles. Once you unlock your favorite armor, the armor core system is there to give you the finger about how you've wasted your time unless you grind the rest of the tiers of the pass to maybe put together a nice Spartan suit. If not, you'll always get another 2 attempts to try that again next season since the cores still aren't cross compatible.

It would be cool if the academy was a single button you press in the menu that just took you too the academy in game where you to do multiple things like interact with story. multiple training type things, drive random vehicles around, kill random marines. Think of it as a semi hub world. It could be a place where narrive elements are involved like the current "raining" vibe we see in multiplayer menus

the academy could end up doing something similar to the beginning of S.S.D.D. in mw2 where there's kinda a bunch of Marines hanging out, doing stuff, and a bunch of banter between them. could also have an option to challenge a few at the firing range in a shoot off or something.

The sidekick is FAR from a “sloppy” weapon in LSS. You can go nearly the whole game without upgrading your “loadout” and still be reasonably competitive with the sidekick. At least with controller

I think people struggle with it due to the bloom. When opponents are unshielded at a decently far range, people tend to rapid fire at the head. The bloom will usually make this inconsistent (giving the feeling of inconsistency) so, the best course of action is to do a few calculated slow taps towards the head. However, up close it’s usually fine to rapid fire.

I actually got stuck in a endless king of the hill match. No one could capture the point, and it couldn’t end. I eventually left and my Xbox crashed. I’ve seen other bugs that actually fully break the game completely, and they all seem new

It's not a new bug. A couple months ago, I got stuck in an infinite total control match. This only shows there's something wrong with how the game handles zones. It's rare, but it can break.

Strongholds zone on BTB just broke and wouldn’t progress on a match I had. Everyone was confused and it was a super intense match. We would have probably won if it didn’t do that. Also as soon as we were all dead it let the enemy cap it.

I’m not a huge fan of Last Spartan Standing, but that’s more because I don’t love free for all modes. I also think it’s so, so stupid to only have it on one map. Already bored of that map and it’s only day 2 of a six month season which isn’t great Catalyst does look really good though, overgrown Forerunner is a great look

Season 1 was such a… nothing season. What happened? We had the Yoroi event? We unlocked pink or something? What a bad start. Season 2 feels MUCH more like they know what they’re doing, and have planned out an actual schedule to keep players invested, and this little “narrative” event is such a nice start. It has better stuff than all of Season 1’s events combined. Lots of really good changes were made which has made the player experience better. It’s not perfect, but I’m optimistic about the future of the game.

We need academy to be a social area, or at least be involved with a PvE mode. It's not being utilized to it's fullest potential, it's a one and done feature that offers nothing to the game besides showing the ropes. You have the resources, use them.

Breaker map already has a major shortcoming for the LSS mode where third or quarter of the map has two of these mildly curved lanes around a blue crater. Spawning on those two lanes is a deaths sentence especially later during the game! The open nature of that part of the map leaves the player in the open in the middle of multiple crossfires. It lacks LoS blocking terrain, vertical elements or just some sort of cover scattered around those roads a bit more to make that area much more playeble. Also fuck cloak in LSS and the back smack challenges!

One exploit I witnessed was an enemy hiding underneath an overhang right where the ring closes in on. The only way to get to the guy is to walk outside of the ring. Only issue is that the ring damages you over time. I'm shocked this wasn't discovered by play testers (if they even exist)

The thing I don't see a lot of talk about is how there is no reason to play *after* you've done your weekly challenges/battle pass. I finished my challenges today and I have to wait for next tuesday to get something worth playing for. Sure, I can get one level on my pass per day, but even then, it's not a lot

Yeah once I finished the pass in s1 I barely played the game. I finished it around a month or so in and came back for a few weekly rewards but ended up not getting them because my challenges sucked and I couldn't swap them (unless I wanted to pay). I came back for and got the black visor but it just felt too grindy to get a base colour

i really want to customize the color of the shields independent of the outlines and team colors id really like both teams to have the classic golden shields but right now my team is gold team and my enemies have red shields which just feels weird

I was excited to give this game another chance, but maaan the challenges just ruin the entire thing. You can do multiple btb games for hours and get nothing more than 50xp each match. But you hop onto a mode you don't care about and hope you get some random challenges completed and you just might level up, even if you do terribly. The challenge swaps make me think that 343 is somewhat intentionally making challenges annoying as an element of the monetisation, without realising that if it puts people off playing the game entirely then it's probably loosing them money. Simply give xp for match wins and medals, maybe remove specific mode requirements from the challenges, and it will easily be good enough until we get proper progression

I've not got much if any interest in Infinite until Forge, Campaign Mission select, working Theater & all the classic modes are added - but I'll say, Catalyst feels like the result of combining Narrows & Epitaph from Halo 3 into a single map. Seeing the gameplay with no outlines is looking good, but if we could independently choose colours that would perfect it - I want to always be on Red Team fighting against Blue Team, with my allies having the classic blue markers and the enemy gamertags show in red above their heads - as for the Radar, that's the sole reason I'm currently always on Yellow Team and the enemies are on Red Team.

The challenge system has gotten worse, at the end of season 1 we where getting mostly generic challenges, but they reintroduced a lot of frustratingly specific ones + forgot to remove FFA related ones. They don't give a shit about anything it seems.

I'm pretty mad about the speedrun patches. It's just incredibly obnoxious, because that stuff was cool. It was fun to do. I didn't even do it to be a speedrunner, but the actual glitches were exceptionally fun to actually pull off - skipping the campaign in a Pelican felt awesome. It was hilarious, took some fairly precise positioning, and flying the Pelican was fun, like old school GTA shenanigans. I don't see why anyone thought it was a good idea to engage in that kind of No Fun Allowed.

Certain other issue I have is that mostly the whole community have their expectations very low these day due of how 343 has failed since launch by lying or unintentionally lying to us that the game was in beta. Then it has been a constant comments of rubbing the wrong way with the condition of the game is in. We shouldn't have low expectations on an established game, and I dont care how many ex bungie devs come to help the game or are seen in videos,they are not gods they are people that can change over time for better or worse.

Tbh, You really should've brought up the whole melee damage nerf and how it affects The Master Chief as well. This was legit the turnoff for me. Why in the hell is he suffering from this degenerate tryhards who want the game to be as stale as possible?! Btw, when I say degenerate tryhards, I am not referring to official pro players. I'm referring to players who try their ass of in quickplay, LTMs, etc. They aren't trying to win. They're trying to show that they do not play anything else other than the multiplayer, and it shows in how far they can be in the pass or what they use for cosmetics, alongside the way they play. These are the people who used those trick jumps in some of these maps, but were the only ones using it.

The season does look pretty interesting and like they're finally starting to understand they're a live service game, but they still are lacking with content additions tbh. Also, they REALLY need to improve the performance on PC. I do not understand why the game runs so poorly. If you look at the Xbox series X and S they are only using RDNA 2 cores. You can get a pretty good idea of what those cores are capable of when looking at the new RX6500 XT, which uses 16 RDNA 2 cores. Yet for some reason halo infinite runs pretty badly on that card still, even though the series s only has 4 more RDNA 2 cores in it. AND SOMEHOW They got 120fps on the series S now. There's no way in hell you would be able to reach 120 fps with a 6500xt. I can barely get above 70fps in outdoor areas with an rtx 3060 even with Dynamic resolution on.

I'm running the game on a 3 GB 1060 GTX, loading is horrendous (on the main menu at least) and I have to constantly restart the game to make it stable again. It sucks to hear people running the game on much better specs than me are still having issues tho

I love that you're experimenting with putting your face in the video, but there could be some improvements. 1. When you cut to a closer shot of your face, make sure that your eyes line up with the previous shot. This is so that the transition is smooth and anot jarring for the viewer. 2. Eye contact. Try to keep eye contact with the camera as much as you can. This shows professionalism and confidence, and looking away lots shows nervousness.

My major gripe with lss is that once it's the final zone, you NEED a shotgun or you will lose. I just went toe to toe with a guy in the final zone, he had a shotgun and I didnt because I couldn't really find anyone that match and as a punishment of that, I got bodied because the ar doesnt go against it whatsoever, I couldn't get a range or height advantage and I couldn't get close either. With tweaks it could be an amazing map Oh yeah and I hope they add more maps to it, its gonna get pretty stale soon

The patches showed 343's true colors. They explicitly said they wouldn't patch any speed running glitches unless it broke the game. But that was a lie. They also patched the competitive jumps. What a joke. MS and 343 already killed Halo, they're just starting to fill in the grave now.

Hello! It is nice to see you talk. I enjoy the webcam. Though I would recommend getting a better webcam, there is more you could do to. The lighting is very static so by turning off the overhead light, putting a nice warmer lamp on one side of your face, and getting some interesting lighting features on your shelves and stuff behind you it would liven things up a lot. Lights are everything so making things feel a bit cozier would go a long way. Hang some Christmas lights or maybe some of your Halo stuff lights up. Just find a youtuber you like how their setup looks and mess with yours until something looks good. Maybe moving the cam out a bit too for some breathing room would be good too. Keep it up and just keep playing with it. Thank you for the update as always!

Season 2 is a joke. Even if we overlook the laughable small content update. Instead of adding largely requested community requests, they: -removed all skilljumps from all maps -removed all speedrun tricks on the fastest speedrun rout -changed king of the hill from a beloved gamemode that has proven to work for 20 years to something different -made challenges not work again -made the challenges rake ages to load -made the menu slower -made desync and lag worse -weapons randomly bug and don't fire properly -gave us a banished AI that talks like a Disney villain Bonus point: -new gamemode is not playable with friends 😂 At this point I'm convinced they deliberately try to get all the halo fans to leave so they can start targeting their "wider audience" without the og halo fans getting pissed off. But for some reason we just stick around, saying they did better than season 1. Well done 343 I guess.

I've been very positive throughout the life of infinite so far (relatively speaking), but them removing the tank gun/skill jumps/ speedrun strats is just so damn stupid, It's like they're trying to make the game shallower. I hope they revert these decisions in the future.

In relation to the removal of the Scorpion Tank Gun, the various jumps, etc......the problem isn't just these as results at the end (up to now) of the development and repair process of the game since launch.....it's also the fact that 343 devoted manpower and time to doing this at all, where the people who worked on these could have been utilized improving the game, not detracting on it. A lost opportunity turned into a grave(mind) mistake.

The banished have a great "saturday morning cartoon villian" theme to them. Sorry, i'm not a fan of using multiplayer's story telling us to "just go play multiplayer." You don't need to have every narrative to generically and predictibly funnel players into multiplayer. Infinite's narrative shouldn't be an excuse for competitive multiplayer...

Player outlines remove the skill of identifying the enemy and they should be taken out. Same with scope glints, conveniently lets everyone know where the threat is.

I like season 2 so far but I’m still annoyed at how buggy and incomplete everything is (and we STILL don’t have many of the Reach armors despite the fact that you can see bots wearing them). What also really frustrated me is the inclusion of “BR Slayer” in the Team Slayer mode. Nearly every single Team Slayer match I’ve played in the past few days had me spawn with a Battle Rifle, which makes the gameplay far too stressful for me. We already have multiple game modes which make you start with a BR (Tactical Slayer, Ranked Matches etc.). Now we have to constantly fight using BRs in normal Team Slayer too?! It’s just too much. I’m sick of getting spawn killed by enemies half way across the map when I’m trying to play a casual Team Slayer match.

Putting heavies on the new map is a good idea because it's one of the few maps where vehicles can play differently based on type. In short fast vehicles can jump the gap or go through the under pass. heavies can only go through the underpass.

I feel the story would work more if playable brutes or elites were a thing, heck even a mode like invasion would make it fit better rather than just having Spartans shoot at eachother Edit: I feel the sandbox is dead, the nerfs were unnecessary and affected everything instead of just the shit they wanted to change, what happened to casual play?? Why is the company exclusively listening to the basement dwelling competitive losers?? My sister doesn't play anymore because she is fed up with the sweats in quickplay and these dumbass changes make the problem worse as well as makes the only viable weapon the AR, when infinite released all my friends played it with me but now no-one does because they are failing the casual audience who just wants a few FUN games after work.

Personally I don’t like the LSS (maybe I’m just bad) and I don’t care that king of the hill has been added because it should have been there at launch. Also 2 more maps is pathetic for 6 months of limbo and 6 months more of barely anything. I don’t want to play infinite and I’m deeply saddened by that. I remember before it launched talking to my friends about grinding this game and playing for entire days. This was far from reality and now we try to find reasons not to uninstall it. I might not be agreed with here but I feel like if they pushed this game back by at least 2 years, it would have been better. I would have still been excited and the game wouldn’t be so chunky in content release.

I logged on saw my that I had 4 ffa challenges then jumped on destiny 2 sorry but ffa isn't my thing I play halo with friends and the only progression right now is ffa. Some will say use a challenge swap, but we shouldn't have to. In one of their vidocs of H:I some one at 343 said something like " we want the players to play how they want to and feel rewarded"... well that was a lie. I'll be back in season 4 or 5 when things start to turn around.

The fact 343 removed those fun game-enhancing bugs tells me they have no idea what they're doing. It's yet another thing that demonstrates how much they care about their creative vision opposed to prioritizing something player's would enjoy. Instead of removing things that add depth to their game, they should swallow their ego and embrace it, it's what the community wants and likes. Happy accidents are called what they are for a reason.

Not enjoying LSS that much right now due to issues I encounter with the server. Whether it’s melee hits or Weapon Fire not registering…. It keeps me from enjoying this newer mode that’s actually fun when it works for me. I also hope the weapons can rotate so it’s not always the same load outs, though this could just be because they are only focusing this event on Breaker, and after the event is over we will have more LSS map options with different loadouts.

Sidekick is arguably one of the strongest weapons in the game so I disagree it's bad for LMS. However it's super sweaty and cringe to use, I don't play video games to be sweating like that

I was patient hoping that 343 would bring the game up to snuff as a free to play title, but sadly I don't think I'll ever be playing the Multiplayer. Even though it's free, there are many other options where I can have just as much fun.

regarding the webcam: see what improved lighting could do for you. webcam seems fine, lighting could do for some improvement though. if it involves the background setup (your props and whatnot), i'm not sure what could be changed tbh if the lighting doesn't change anything, then yeah probably get a camera, *not* a webcam

I think they should focus on forge so people go oh i yay I can make nuke town then major bugs then focus more on getting more modes in the game so players go omg it’s infection then after they get more modes in they focus on major bugs then get campaign co-op fix those bugs also if infinite wants to do a doomed state I think it could work If they got rid of the red glow and lower the noise of the doomed state so it’s harder to noice so it’s more dangerous and can lead to some fun moments where you realize “oh shoot my ghost is going explo…” I think we know what happened next but I think infinite is getting there but with really small baby steps

Never thought I'd live in a day and age where the Assault Rifle was considered a sweaty weapon for a more civilized age. New map looks fun for big teams, gives me vibes of Boneyard from Reach. I'd seen similar comments about how Infinite's maps are scared of being too much, how they're all very conventional _three lanes, no verticality, family friendly safe option_ sort of deals. Cool to see Catalyst is a break toward the older philosophy of arena map designs.

With 343 experimenting with open world, I would love to see the main menu become some playable area like the destiny tower. You and your fire team, in your mp Spartan armour, can navigate it and the different game modes are spread throughout

Last Spartan Standing is lame because if you die at the end and you have a few lives left, you respawn in some part of the map that automatically kills you. By the time you almost make it back to the fighting area, you instantly get shot once and die

He's right about the multiplayer narrative being pretty cartoony and light. I've made it my own headcanon that Iratus is attacking Dinh's nervous system to cause him extreme physical pain he cannot defend against due to the nature of neural interface technology all UNSC personnel are implanted with, and that the reasoning behind Agryna's suggestion to fight inside the simulation is so that we might uncover a secret of some kind within the simulation that would correlate with the real structure. As we survey the facility the AI was guarding and learn more of its whereabouts through the simulated location, the AI would theoretically grow more and more anxious about the UNSC discovering something of importance, and as such, will be tempted to enter the simulation himself to stop potential secrets from being learned. This would be a ruse and the simulation would only serve as ruse to trick him from Dinh, who will dispense the true intelligence we have been looking for. The explanation for the simulation in the game is really weak but my headcanon at least makes it feel a bit more realistic and gritty, like we really do have a reason to be there other than "Lets run around on Iratus's domain until he gets mad and leaves Dinh who he knows is actively harboring vital Banished intel that they can only access after he leaves his brain"
