Yes! You guys did the Archives trailers. I found them to be really profound too. Like you said Halo has always been focused on Master Chief where these short videos show what others (regular people) have accomplished or sacrificed throughout the storyline. Also don’t forget “Forever We Fight”, it’s the last live action trailer they did before release

That voice over the speaker talking about the glassing of Arcadia was a nice touch. People who aren't familiar with the lore don't realise humanity came VERY close to extinction at the hands of the Covenant. If it wasn't for Chief and the other spartans and the covenant fracturing into civil war we would not have survived the conflict.

Also just some context.. the Banished Rise is a direct contrast to the “Step Inside” trailer from 2020. Step inside shows the “hopeful” side of that imagery of Master Chief’s armor where the banished rise tears that hope apart.

I have been deeply fascinated with Halo and all its lore for nearly 15 years and it's so refreshing to see these sort of reaction videos! I didn't even know that Halo Infinite had live action trailers, and I feel like I should have since Halo has always had good live action trailers when they're used. I liked Unspoken the most, but they're all good. Little reminds that even the average person can play an important role in the universe and I suppose a normal human is someone easier to relate to. Unspoken also hits me a little hard because it's hard losing a close friend and I know what it's like, and ever since then little bits of emotion like that get to me a little hard than they used to.

In Halo infinite master chief has to use all those breakthroughs made by humanity in those archives to actually fight and defend humanity. The armor ore , the grappling hook and the energy shields he uses it all

The halo franchise has a good couple of books that might be worth looking at! It seems like they started them around the time of the original Xbox! I have a reissue of one of the original 3 books and they're actually micro books! (Good for a portable read)

Man, Halo is the series with the most hard sci fi tech that makes no freaking sense. That grappling hook, I get the idea but that's tech that should have come before power armor. Same with the guns honestly. The rounds they are using are kind of 300 years old. The cold plasma guns were another one. But on the other hand, how the armor functions, warships, all that stuff is done really well. It's weird. Kind of saddens me though. even looking at these trailers and all, 5 was so bad to me I can't bring myself to care about Infinite too much. It's unfortunate because it was a great series that lasted way longer than it had any right to but it's so meh now.

Sad truth is I can get the same enjoyment for a game play perspective out of a lot of other FPS games and Halo V killed the story, so I don't have a huge reason to rush out and get it. I don't know, maybe a few years down the line. Honestly it got formulaic after 3 for me and Bungie ended it 2 games later anyways.
