When I met the Arbiter in Halo 5 as Locke, I went 'Who are you, and have we met before?' But ignoring 343's entries, it's a shame Halo 3 didn't get revamped with the Anniversary treatment. I feel like it needs expanded or extended campaign, which actually includes the two co-op Elites, and more of the Arbiter's personal battles.

20:35 Imagine you are some poor marine in over his head trying to fight off a covenant invasion. A scarab drops in, your platoon gets massacred and none of your weapons can do anything against it. Then a Spartan comes along, Johnson arrives with a tank and gives you some motivating words and you start thinking that maybe, just maybe, things will work out. Only a few seconds later, that supersoldier supposed to save the day starts shouting "where is the tank?" while standing right next to it. That poor marine's morale has to be lower than ever before :D

Here's my hot-take: I think that the original cutscenes (for the intro+ right before the Covenant show up around Earth at least) are slightly better directed. The transitions between Arbiter and Master Chief happen quicker (with a less sudden white-out, instead of a bunch of drawn out black out), the camera doesn't show Truth until he starts speaking, there's that nice first transition from Truth to Earth's Moon. Sometimes, less really is more.

There are soooo many details in those campaigns, especially this one! For example all the little jokes and references to other timestamps in halo's lore... Also the places you go, for example: Later on in the campaign when you're in high charity (the holy city of the covenant ), you're walking around in exactly that place, where the arbiter got his trial and got his armor taken off. You really - *and I cannot stress this enough* - need to go trough all this campaigns more than just once and listen very well to all the hiddenxperia videos! This franchise is so insane

Love these videos. The unbridled joy Dee Bee has playing these games for the first time is something I will always cherish about Halo. It's great that we get to go along with him on his first ever journey through the amazing story that Halo is. He's the true lucky one though. He gets to experience Halo for the first time all these years later, and share the same excitement and emotions all of us veterans did back in the day. We get to live those emotions again vicariously through Dee Bee. LOVE IT!

First and foremost I want to say that your content has been awesome, I recently discovered you in the past month and it’s been a breath of fresh air in the community of gaming videos and content. I also wanna just take the time to express how amazing it’s been seeing you play through the games and dive into the Halo universe for the first time. As a long time fan of the series myself it’s wonderful to see. Your reactions, your enthusiasm, just the way you get excited about the universe and characters brings a comforting warmth to my heart that I personally felt myself when I was growing up playing these games, it puts a smile on my face. I played Halo CE for the first time when I was 7 in 2005 (I was born in 1998 and yeah I know I was definitely young for a mature game like that but still I loved every minute), then over the next seven to eight years I was addicted to the series. I remember spending consecutive days playing Halo 2 trying to complete it on legendary and playing split screen with my brother, or when we got an Xbox 360 in 2008 near the release of Halo 3 and experiencing the hype around it. I remember the community and doing system links games at friend’s houses, spending hours in forge mode building and creating the most absurd maps and concepts all while laughing over the mic till 3am. We spent hours in coop campaign whilst helping each other, betraying each other for fun or just stupid gags and later would get the squad together to play competitively. I’m sure you can tell by reading this comment that I have a really strong emotional attachment to this series, it’s helped me through some of my darkest moments especially during my later formative teen years after Reach and Halo 4 came out. I turn 22 this year and it’s wild to look back on all the memories. I know this comment has been quite long but I just wanted to share my story, your videos made me remember those memories, experiences and feelings I felt back then and your love for this series has sparked open that part of my mind for reflection in a very positive manner, watching you play is like looking in a mirror. Thank you for your content and I’m happy you finally get around to enjoying this series to its fullest. Good luck, fellow Spartan.

Enjoy my guy, the original trilogy is one of the richest campaign experiences in the genre of FPS. I hate to be that guy but 343 couldn’t nail it as good as bungie, bungie left 434 in a really tough place to pick up where they left off. But halo 5 oh boy... anyways, I’m glad you are enjoying halo.

Quick advice for the flood in Halo 2. Combat forms (the elites and humans turned into flood) still have a head you can shoot. The human combat forms have their head on their left shoulder because the neck has been forcefully pushed to the side. The elite combat forms have their head molded into their chest, near where the lungs sit inside a person. If you aim at both of these areas with weapons like carbines, battle rifles and magnums you can kill them in one to maybe a few shots. Another little bit of advice, Brutes are the new enemy and are aggressive fighters, but about half a carbine clip to the head on legendary kills them really quickly so you just need to be aggressive but not overly reckless yourself.
