I just finished halo mcc 100% and i used silver guides for all of my SLASOs and some of the legendary speedruns. My golden advice is to read at least the top 10 comments before attempting the laso mission, silver guides are perfect! but in the comments you will find alot of beneficial comments like warnings, advices, problems and their solution, plan B or even new despawns and starts! I did the hardest 3 lasos in 2020 and the other 3 in 2024 with all of the other online and mop up stuff. As of difficulty IMO halo ce>2>3>reach>4>odst Thank you silver, appreciate your time and explanation for each laso and I couldn't have done it without you. You are a legend

I did Halo 4 on LASO already (quite a few years ago) on 360, obviously no achievement for it back then, but it was recorded on Waypoint, and i got the LASO skull emblem ;D but nowww looks like a gotta do it all over again for an achievement lol, fun times! ;D

To anyone that is stuck in that big room with 8 grunts, two jackals, and 3 elites, all you have to do is kill the grunts and jackals and you can sprint by the two elites, smack the one with the concussion rifle, and continue on.

sometimes elites seem to just back up for me instead of letting me circle around it.. dam elites are much more challenging than brutes.. there goes any potential easy mythic.

Unfortunatelt I'm having difficulty with the whole circling elites thing on mouse and keyboard. This is gonna be a loooong laso Sometimes I take so long trying to do it that I actually take the guy's shield down lmaooo The section at 15 minutes scorpion does so quickly and I've genuinely spent so much time just on this section. Half the time I can't take out one of the elites never mind 3 :L

Something weird happened to me I was on this level and doing the save and quit method and eventually it wouldn't load up and so I restart xbox and reload and somehow it said I beat this level when I was still on the first fight of level should I continue or restart playlist because I'm scared it might not count

@@221Prohunter in the first few months of MCC I started each Spartan Ops mission on legendary then quit and it counted. I did it years ago in halo 4 classic and never again. Got all of the Spartan ops achievements in 2 hours or so. Big shame it was patched as now everyone has to do it again if they want those achievements

Has anyone been able to progress this ? I've tried it on Xbox Series X (and then via PC as I have GP ultimate) but no progress is saved while doing it. If I die in the middle of a mission and then Save/Quit, once I'm back in Playlists screen, I can only "start" the Playlist (from the beginning). I noticed Prologue isn't "completed" either. I also tried another playlist (Tight Corridors, finished it completely) and no Playlist progression was saved :( :( :( Edit: Found a solution (check replies below)

I did Halo 4 LASO with no deaths back on the 360, but I'd rather save scum my way through the achievement since I already did it "legit" before.

Yes, managed to find a solution after looking more in True Achievements and Reddit.! Apologies for forgetting to post it here. To fix this: 1) From Xbox Home, go to MCC, but don't launch it. Press "Start" and go to "Manage game and add-ons". 2) Under "Saved Data", press your profile and choose "DELETE EVERYWHERE". 3) Now launch MCC. All playlists progression (including ones completed) are gone. However, if you start any game's mission, any Completed playlist will return to normal. For example, in all Halo's apart from Halo 4, I had at least 3 playlists completed. Before I started a mission in each game, they all showed 0. But after I went through one checkpoint in one (any) mission of each game, the completed playlists returned back showing X of X. **Important note**: Any incompleted playlist will revert back to 0 and you'll lose all saved progress. So if you have any playlist partially completed, I suggest you complete it before doing the above. After doing the above, I was so happy to see it works. I finished the HALO 4 LASO playlist not long after that. Hope this helps

Just finished this level, it was surprisingly easy. Although at some point I tried to noob combo the elites, but it seems they need several overcharge shots to be effective, so yeah, I guess that's why you just go for melee attacks on them. Anyways, playing this on LASO shows how big the flaw on low ammo in this game is AND much I miss the good old flashlight, especially at that jumping part outside. There's a huge planet emmiting light, why is that part so dark? :p Cheers Silver, on to the next one!

Do you need a monitor with an inbuilt crosshair to play LASO?

No, I've done it without a cross hair, but you can also make your own makeshift cross hair with clear tape and a marker. Go into a custom game, grab the sniper, place a small square piece of clear tape over the crosshair, then trace the reticle onto the tape. Now you'll have a reticle even with the blind skull on!
