This is the canon ending and no one can tell me otherwise.

The original ending was so childish and r/im14andthisisdeep level writing. This AE is also more in-line with the entire point of Noble 6 being an analog for you, the player. Because for it to just end with you suddenly not being in control and immediately dying defeats the purpose. And this even gives much more potential for development and future storytelling.
