The improvements are shocking on series x. Pretty much a perfect experience if you have a tv that takes advantage of all the features. 4k,HDR,120fps,vrr,low latency boost. Amazing PC level gaming on console

This is how i wished Master Chief collection looked and ran all along. I was mucking about in Halo Reach this week and the vehicles are just so responsive that it is a joy to drive around in them now. The 120 FOV really is a gamechanger on console too.

yep, well I'm glad we've reached this point. What an epic collection of games that run insanely well. That 120fps is just mind blowing haha. I remember playing them in sub 720p at 30fps back in the day, come a long in a short while.

@@Skycaptin5 So true , it is still annoying though that the GDK from Xbox lags behind the PS5 software development tools and it's causing issues with third party Devs . Valhalla is a classic example where it should be running much better than it is on Series X. Hopefully this will all be sorted by early next year. Plus Cold war running slower in 120 fps mode shouldn't be happening either. I don't yet have a 120 hz TV so i can only play at 60 fps. BTW those having issues with screen tearing in Valhalla , apparently if you set TV to 60 hz output being a 60 hz only game it gets rid of most of the tearing.

Love halo, ended up playing through all halo games in order for timeline reach, CE, halo 2, ODST etc, feels great on series x! And great they added a fov slider for it! I think games look better with higher fov! Being console great to have on series x now for games you can do so!

Solo and duo's run at a smooth 120FPS, if you play with 3 or 4 players on splitscreen your screens will run at 60FPS.

I have an xbox sx, and I specially go to my dad's place, as he just bought a new tv that has 120fps support. And I wonder if I'm doing something wrong, or there's simply not so much a difference between 60 and 120fps? Because I didn't really see any difference, while the console is in correct port (actually doesn't matter as all ports are 4k\120hz hdmi2.1 there), all the settings on TV seems to be on, and surprisingly nothing changed at first glance lol While the game looks amazing in 4k\60fps, I just wonder if there's any point in buying the tv\monitor capable of 120hz if there's no difference? Or I'm doing something wrong, maybe someone will share an opinion on this account here?

There's an absolutely massive difference between 60fps and 120fps. It would have to be the LG CX I imagine to have four HDMI 2.1 ports. Do you have the Xbox outputting 120hz? Do you have VRR on or a game mode on there? Definitely doing something wrong.

So not sure what's the difference, as I switching from forza which is supposed to be 60fps to halo which is 120fps and see literally no difference. Well to be honest there is some difference, but it's definitely not that huge as between 30 and 60fps, for example. Yes, some minor smoothness improvement, but nothing major actually

And I must say that the difference became more obvious. Everything became indeed smoother. But honestly - it's still a bit disappointing) The difference is still not so radical comparing 30 and 60, for example. It is cooler and smoother for sure, but I changed my mind on switching my existing 4k OLED to newer one with hdmi 2.1. 4k 60fps is pretty amazing already) Plus not sure that a lot of games will support 4k+120fps, at least newer ones

@@Skycaptin5 I'm playing the XSX MCC on a 4k LG tv 2019 model. Sadly no 120 Hz. But I'm ok with that as I play my red devil rx 5700xt on my 1080p monitor at 144 Hz. I play on my bed if it's a chilled game so it looks great from a certain distance. I still play my ps3 and wii u. So 30 fps is also playable to me.

what does the fastest have to do with texture pop in hahahaha. You shouldn't be seeing texture pop in within Halo, Control I don't recall having much because you're just in rooms most of the time. That aside, Control isn't Optimized yet either.

It could be used for that, assuming developers have taken advantage of it. These Halo games are running on multiple engines across a plethora years between them, so you're going to see them largely untouched aside from fix ups, resolution boosts and FPS improvements. You will hopefully see less texture pop in once games are only developed for next generation consoles and fully Optimized to use the SSD. I would assume the first real indicator of such a thing on Xbox will be with The Medium at the end of the month. In general randomly throwing a more powerful SSD at games not Optimized to fully use it won't do much aside from making it load faster.

The Optimizations, depends on the game. See, Black Desert is “Optimized” but nothing has changed, it just uses smart delivery or something as the pr mentioned it’s the same. So it doesn’t need faster storage. A game will usually tell you when it needs it, though some have mentioned it won’t always be the case

You can get all on Game Pass. If buying, the core package includes all of the multiplayer alongside Halo CE, 2, 3, 4. If you want the campaigns for Reach and 3: ODST you need to buy those separately. Again, all under Game Pass too.

@@williammangus5526 were you starting from your checkpoint? If you re-setup the game it won't start from that checkpoint, you need to select continue on it. You may have accidently been resetting it

@@Skycaptin5 it's not actually possible yet. Or it's very complicated. Capture cards don't go that high yet. There's really no reason to capture that fps yet because it's not supported by any streaming service anyway. Not yet at least.
