I am well aware of the halo timeline. there are only Spartan I, II, and III's by the end of all the halo games released to date. The multiplayer for halo 4 is said to have spartans IV's but nothing has been really said about that yet as to weater or not its entered into the canon or just a mechanism tosses around for the multiplayer.

I would like to say that Johnson did have Boren's Syndrome, which he survived due to the minor augmentations that were given by project ORION. Also, before anyone says anything negative about Spartan III's, they were not given skeletal augmentation like the II's were, thats why they come in all shapes and sizes. And, they had cerebral augmentations that stimulated survival instincts and promotes aggression and reduces shock, however it also restricts the capacity for rational thought and reason.

Hyperblue got a point. And the only thing the armor lock charge is good for is it's EMP effect on vehicles. Otherwise, it's just there to save your life from getting splattered or hit by rockets or whatever.

There was also many companies of Spartan III's and they planned to have thousands in service after a decade or so of war against the covenant. Spartan III's were expendable and as the other guy mentioned were mostly Orphans from the colonies.

Actually Halo ODST plays during pretty much the second mission of Halo 2. And while you play the first mission of Halo 2 it says they are above Africa and that is where New Mombasa is. In Kenya if you want to specify even further.

It's a deep metaphor actually, to his persistence, and how it proved valuable. He enlisted because of his dead brother/cousin, to fight in his place. He dropped feet-first into enemy fire. When he came across his enemies, hopelessly more powerful than him, what did he do? He fights back. Even after he's smashed to the ground, he grabs his gun, and returns fire. And because of his persistence, god gave him the right to live to see another day.

I am well aware about Jorge and Kat. As for Carter, that was a bad example. You are also right about Emile, but the agression-boosters the lll's had was part of it. and Noble 6 would be the same as Chief if he had the same augmentations and armor. Spartan lll's that were secretly deployed to reach were given cheaper, cut down Mjolinir varients that functioned using their basic SPI equipment. Noble 6 has the same combat efficiency levels as S-117 and could have avoided the situation he was in.

@borderlands8 They did flash clone all of the candidates chosen for the SPARTAN II program. The clones were the replacements that died so awareness of the program wouldnt be brought up. Cortana resembles Halsey and Miranda more than anyone. The books dont say anything about any of the SPARTANs having a relationship beyond the team dynamic they developed.

From the Halo 5 trailer its possible that Cortana went with the didact who as said in most reviews of the game isnt dead either, so the story could be about chief hunting down the didact to save cortana. Just my thoughts on the subject.

i think i got a bit carried away. i was trying to point out that there werent 150 Spartan IIs. only about 75ish kids were selected and then somewhere around half of them "washed out" so only about lets say 37 Spartan IIs were really running around. Initially the numbers werent indicative of Spartan batches. They are when it comes to the IIIs, and aside from what 343 has on their site i dont know anything about the IVs.

Sorry if i don't know the meaning to relaunched but yeah the Spartan I program never excisted (people call it like that) but it was never relaunched, Halsey continiude the studies and data from orion, which was then called Orion II but she did not like the name so she did some research and decided to call it Spartan II after the greek warlords.BTW johnson is inmune to the flood because of the radiation from a plasma grenade not because he is part of the Orion project. (Sorry for my bad English)
