I was mis diagnosed with Schizophrenia over 7 years ago, I contracted Pre Diabetes Type-2 when I was 22 from my eating and by a high depo dosage of Invega, I also have my gallbladder removed, I am now involuntary bullied on Haloperidol, and I don't have Schizophrenia, I am a 1 in 4 - 25% mis diagnosis with Schizophrenia

You did not mention that the FDA labeled this drug as a Blackbox drug that requires a warning on the label that it is in fact a Blackbox Drug. We received from our Hospice team a 'comfort Care' box for my Mother in law who is elderly and has dementia, that included one dose of the drug yet there was NO blackBox warning anywhere on the bottle or zip bag that covers it! Is this even legal???

Some people have weird fixations. I get obsessed with weird shit like this due to Aspergers. I pick a single subject, and researched it down to the molecular level. How it works in the body, and alternatives that work better and safer. I took this shit voluntarily and it's extremely unpleasant. Uncomfortably sedated, studies show ketamine to be So so very much superior to haloperidol for violent agitation patients, working much quicker 5 mins vs 28 of haldol, and allows the patient to introspectively look at all the events leading up to this, basically a K hole.

This medicine was given to a family member for depression, and PTSD . No mental illness at all . Is that normal. It was only taken for short term ,for nerves . Is that normal?

No its not, but its common. Many antipsychotic medication are subscribed to people with a variation of problems. Even sleeping problems, anorexia and against withdrawal effects at rehab.

I am a clinical psychotherapist and typically speaking Haldol is not used for just PTSD and depression. However, since it does have sedating qualities, it can be used as needed for these issues.

I loved being on haldol. Made me feel great! Certainly didnt feel psychotic anymore, however I still dont remember the holidays with my family that year :(

I was curious about how exactly this medicine works. I know it’s old. But from what I have read and then how tv depicts haloperidol it seems like two different drugs. The one on tv can take you from altered mental status to naptime in one intramuscular injection or via iv. They just relax like instantly and are sleeping or something. My mental health provider. Added this as an emergency if the lorazepam is not working and the panic attacks are severe but only twice a day. It was perscribed as a liquid to go through my feeding tube. Can’t find anything about feeding tube administration. But I wonder could you explain nor someone is the drugs designed to be a sedative. I know it’s anti psychotic. But when it’s your system. What is the actual effect of it and does tv depict haldol use right or wrong. If wrong how it would really look. Also I only Found one source but is this used for anxiety disorders, panic Attacks. Trying to find information. I need more info but for your medical professional, does perscribing for panic attacks seem kind of extreme or fall Into the typical things it’s prescribed for. Second isn’t someone who is already on a maintaince generalized anxiety drug, plus a benzodiazepine already doesn’t adding something like haldol mix seem like to much. Should reference I would be described and have been described. As medically complicated my worst stuff secondary adrenal insufficiency, arrhythmias many variety’s. But afib, svt and PVCs. Low bloop pressure, POTs, and Gastroparesis couple maldnutrition. Mental health is important to me. I work with a therapist it’s Important to me learn no medicine Methods of coping and dealing with anxiety, anxiety attacks, panic attacks. Meds to me are the last resort in the tool box. But my doctor would not perscribed if it was not safe. But recently an ER do perscribed a cough medicine that so not safe with my particular Collection medical conditions. Trying to find information on meds that’s explained clearer so I understand what I am taking. All my providers with the power of prescribing ever just say here try this. We can give this a shot. I go home and do the research. I get the risk benefit thing. But when you have a medically complicated patient like myself. Nurses doctors am I right in thinking and I think maybe it’s bares a little more research then here try this. Me specially if you know they have a history are already on meds etc. what’s a good legit source for checking your medications side effects besides your pharmacist or Provider. Neither been helpful in that department. Which place on the Internet is gonna give me the most accurate depiction of side effects what I take or what’s Planned to be added in. Any sources you can give me. I would appreciate. Also anyone else been perscribed haloperidol for there severe anxiety or severe anxiety attacks. Did help you or no? @@luisurbina5159 they will hit you with haldol and Thorazine in the system to shut you down .. depending on how much they hit you with it could be a few days before your clear headed again ..and if they constantly hit you with it for whatever reason . it starts fucming with your head really bad ..cant make complete thoughts and never really feel awake or there lol.
