Thanks for the video! You mentioned that you have the extended antenna. There's not anything listed with the BT6 that I see. I'm guessing it's a separate part to order. Can you tell me the part number? I've currently got a Haloview MC5111 that works great while I'm parked, but is useless when driving because of a frozen screen/lag. I've got it on the back of a 30' TT. I'm looking to upgrade, but I don't want the same experience.

@KxK-ty5bq This is the antenna we use: www.haloview.com/wireless-extension-antenna-for-bt7-camera.html Hope this helps Dan

@melodygrandinetti5016 Haloview does sell dashcams, we don't have one so I couldn't do a review on them. Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. Dan

I have a Haloview RD7-MINI 7'' 720P Wireless Backup Camera Range Dominator System but I can't use it because I tow with a 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD and there isn't enough power fed to the camper through the 7 pin so the camera comes on and then goes off every few seconds. I connect to power through the 12V from the rooftop marker lights and It's a known issue with the new GM trucks. There just isn't a real solution that I'm aware of.

@robh063 I can't imagine the camera drawing that much amperage to cause an issue. It would seem if your camper break and tail lights are working, so should the camera. Most cameras are hooked up to the 7 pin lights, so when the vehicle lights are on it supplies power to the camera. As an experiment, have you tried to power on the camera using the pairing cables and cigarette lighter power cable, just to see if the camera works or still powers off/on? Dan

@@RiversToRidgesRV Hey Dan, No I haven't tried that because in GM's infinite wisdom, they didn't put any 12V cigarette lighter plugs in the 2024 trucks. I bought a USB to 12V plug adapter for the camera and I also bought a 110V to 12V converter. It makes no difference either way when plugged in. The camera and monitor works just fine when I'm stationary. It only goes off and on when driving down the road.
@RiversToRidgesRV7 ай бұрын
When you say "goes off and on" I assume you mean it's loosing power and not the signal between the camera and the monitor? If so, that sounds more like a loose power connection. One other thing I can think of, can you supply power to your camera from another source to make sure it's not a bad power connection? You could bring the camera inside the RV and plug it straight to 12V (I assume it's a 12V camera). I don't have the RD7-MINI so I don't know all the specs, so I'm only making some logical guesses at this point. Dan

@@RiversToRidgesRV Yes it says "No Signal" then it works, then "No Signal". I had this problem with my original Haloview RD7-Mini and couldn't figure it out so I bought a completely new system and have the same issue. I don't have 12V power in the truck to plug it in to but like I said previously, when stationary in my yard before taking off on a trip, it works great. Once I get moving, it starts happening.

Out of curiosity, how far away is the camera from the monitor? The only thing I can think of is on your next trip, take your camera off the back of the RV and bring it into the RV and supply power to it. The purpose of this test is to make sure you don't have a power connection issue on the back of the RV.
