If you’ve been following our journey you know that we tow a heavy 45-foot toyhauler with a Volvo semi-truck we’ve converted into an RV hauler. Even though we love our truck and how amazing it is to travel in there is one downside to operating a large class 8 truck like ours. That downside is visibility.
In this video we’re going to add 2 new Haloview wireless cameras to the HDT. This upgrade will complete our 4 camera Haloview RD-7 system.

Great install, the forward camera is the best protection you can ask for. Had a friend in a semi, that if he wouldn't have had the camera, the State Trooper was ready to write him for an accident, but after the trooper watched the video , the other person got a ticket.

Wanted to share 2 modifications which were amazing with my HDT conversion. 1st) x caliber remote keyless entry and remote start awesome upgrade especially if your used to the fancy pickup trucks. $76.00 from www.truckid.com 2nd) HDT suspensions are not all smooth on those horrible roads. Researched and made contact with Robin at Donvel suspension with motion control. I purchased their steering Stabilizers which are amazing!!! On the fly dialing on with a in cab gauge and control valve. It also ends that horribly scary body roll when hitting those curves in the road. Good job brother 👏 with your setup and camera look great 👍

You were saying about the monitor antenna, if they made a swivel antenna for it like they do for the cameras, mounting up on the bulkhead would be easy. Our headsets & base stations in the fire engines have foldable antennas like the cameras.

I wish they had mounted the antenna on the side of the unit that way you could turn the antenna downward allowing you to mount it at the ceiling. I'll send them feedback and maybe they will redesign it LOL Thanks for checking out the video and following along. Safe Travels

Yeah, I have always been leery of the 3M tape until I tried to remove a gopro mount from the smart car. Didn't think I was going to get it unstuck LOL Safe Travels

If you have an issue with the backup camera on your truck, don’t panic. I had to replace one of the antennas and it works awesome. The picture was back to clear and stills works great. It was a little better antenna and just screws in. So may want to try that first.

Hey there. Yes, there are some longer antennas you can buy which may help on shorter coaches. With our camera being about 70 feet from the dash of the truck we had to go with the extended signal Haloview. Thanks for checking out the video. Safe Travels
