Not neccessarily, some songs just have good tunes and a good beat. Not every song has to make you feel smoething. I certainly prefer when they do, but it doesn't just have to be through the lyrics. It could just be through the beat of the song, that provokes a particular emotional response or reaction

My first time writing a comment and I've had the account eight years or so! This song reminds me of my younger days. I'm 23 now but when I was 19 I secretly met this guy. He was the love of my life. We had an amazing relationship. Every weekend we'd book a random hotel somewhere in Dublin, Ireland. Nobody knew we were gay. The amount of fun we had in the hotel is unmeasurable. We'd dance, drink, joke around, watch movies, order food, be romantic and everything else. In the end he broke my heart. He is two years older. He cheated with another guy. Sad thing is - if he asked me to forgive him, I would.

honestly, i feel like this is the most underrated halsey song. its so beautiful, my favorite of hers. i loved room 93 more than badlands, badlands had so much hype and i expected it to be like room 93 but it was not and made me dislike the album a bit (although i have a few favorites like coming down, gasoline, etc) and i felt like room 93 symbolized her much more, as an artist and person. this song is absolutely gorgeous from all parts you see it. its catchy and brilliant, and before halsey was as big as she was now, this was my recommendation song. still is. i adore you ashley, and is there somewhere.

even if i was so immature and young, i wish i could relive the period of my life when Halsey and this EP were my entire world and everything was just so simple and full of hope. I’m grateful this is how i spent my time on the internet when i was 13; i’m 18 now and i tear up thinking it’s only gonna get tougher moving forward. I miss my internet friends (which i hope are okay) and my little online memories and obsessions and how much i romanticized everything, everywhere. it came so easily back then, while now i struggle to even feel things when listening to music or doing anything. i miss feeling alive everytime i left the house and saw a sunset and i yearn to just get a glimpse of that euphoria once more, even if it’s a feeling so far gone. i used to dream about falling in love and living like the songs in this project (if that makes sense), having hurricane teenage years, when in reality i feel like i’ve wasted most of that time and let myself down. not the same.

Halsey you have got such a unique voice where I think you got the edge on a lot of female vocalists because when the listener is hearing you, we get to hear all the emotions too and I am far far far from being an expert but that must be so hard to keep the concentration levels up there.
