You don't need to eliminate position 0 to have this feature. After finding the spot you then make 0 the 30% so you can still have 3 flight modes and hold plus throttle kill.

+Sean Fink Correct. I just don't fly with a normal mode, that's all.

True. I hardly use normal either. I have it all set up and want to learn auto's, but my biggest bird is swinging 360mm blades. A bit scary when it drops love a stone.

Hi I watched your video on setting up the castle 90 esc and it is very good. I'm new at this hobby. I have a trex 500 with this castle on it. The thing I don`t like is when you spool up the helicopter it starts out very slow and it starts to build on speed and you don`t know when it is going to lift off .I`m not use to this.I don`t know if the esc is set up right. Can you help me out. I'm using a spektrum DX8 radio. I don`t have the usb hook up for setting up the castle.

lee rossi You must obtain the Castle Link interface and program your ESC. Watch my other video on calibrating throttle endpoints. Then come back to this video and perform the bailout calibration. But initial programming is critical.

Old post, but I did not see a response to your question regarding the heli taking off. In order to gain lift, and thus take off, the heli requires two things, 1) speed, and 2) pitch. So, while your throttle in STUNT 1 is up and your blades are spinning at some RPM. Your pitch curve in STUNT 1 is typically at the MID STICK or 50% equal to ZERO pitch. And anything below mid stick is NEGATIVE PITCH. So your heli should not take off until after you start adding pitch past the mid-stick.

I personally do not do this full setup. I still have 3 flight modes.
