Hey Josh, I was at US-0639 doing a POTA activation and I met with Mark KD7DTS and he took me up to Mount Pinos Summit and I did a SOTA summit activation with my Kenwood D75. But I finally had a QSO with you on a P2P goal fulfilled!!! Keep up all the videos you rock!!! 73!!

I am a new technician. It was nice to see POTA in action. The only contacts I have made are with the local club net meeting. Only have 5 watt HT, so not able to do much. Saving money for a better unit.

You can SOTA/POTA on UHF/VHF with your 5 watt handheld. Have fun.

what @larrytaylor7753 said . My first activation was a sota / pota combo. 5 watt vhf/uhf and some 30 contacts. that being said it was over looking a large metro area on the weekend. I did have a roll up jpole that i was able to get 8~10 feet in a tree.
