About learning CW...I've learned a good bit of it but I was wondering if there is a device that you can type your characters instead of tapping them out on a key...reason being I think I could learn alot faster by actually having real QSOs but I'm not confident enough with sending to get on the air and start one. If there was a text to CW device that let you hear the tones going out that you are sending I think that would be a brilliant device to learn with.

I believe some radios will accept a keyboard input for live CW. Perhaps some can advise on this - maybe Yaesu?

I love my RTR-2. It works great on the IC-705. Expensive, but great.

I am 57,and when I was 15/16 ,you seemed quite old at Elvaston. The other guy who was around was Dave Cole, he seemed to weather well too,but his website is now not there? Miss the Rally love the Video❤😅

1KW is nice but it is not popular when you got hired but do not hear the other station running 100W. There is a lot of responsibility running a huge amp. Not everyone is up for it.
