Nice looking shack, and nicely laid out, especially for being pretty new to ham radio. Good job on the video too.

Was your MacBook running the digital whilst it was closed?
@k4avkhamradio6013 жыл бұрын
No it wasn't. Usually I'm running one mode or the other. If on SSB I usually have the app closed and the radio I use for FT8 off.

@@k4avkhamradio601 In the video I thought you had said that particular screen was running off the MacBook and I saw it was closed.
@rjkbman55963 жыл бұрын
@@JohnVK5JAK the MacBook is configured to not go to sleep with the covered closed. I feed an HDMI input on a small TV via a Thunderbolt port on the MacBook and have a separate mouse and keyboard to access the functions. So the MacBook does run all the time while the cover is closed regardless of what program is running.

@@rjkbman5596 Doh!. I forgot about the no sleep function. Thanx...

@@JohnVK5JAK Not at all, I had to figure it out. Doing the same with the Windows based laptop I use. It saves me desktop space.
