It's not a war when one side has an organized military force and the other side is over 2 million unarmed civilians. It's called a crime against humanity by International courts, not a war. A war is something fought between two armed groups and can be won or lost. You don't win a genocide. You just keep committing the crime until someone stops you and puts you in prison. Hamas is not an army, they are a group of Palestinians who are resisting occupation and genocide. And about saying this started in 1948, try again. This started before the turn of the century and in 1948 there were already is really Colonial settlements in palestine because for the previous 30 years or more the UK government had been doing exactly what Israel is doing to the Palestinians right now. They had displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinian farmers and set up colonial settlements and filled them with zionists for decades. It's the only reason anyone was able to say the words a land without a people for a people without a land. They had spent the previous 30 years removing all of the people from their land already by the time 1948 came around and white Christian Europeans didn't want to return all of their land and property to the newly released Jews from their concentration camps. So they did a soft ethnic cleansing of Europe and set up Israel as their home camp. The only reason there are Jews in the Middle East from Europe is because Christian white Europeans don't want them in Europe and spent decades ethnically cleansing them from the continent.

That's okay, I don't have to try hard to remember what I said because it's all facts. Doesn't matter how many times KZbin takes down my responses. First of all, this is not a war. It is an illegal foreign occupation committing International crimes against an unarmed native population for generations. A war is a conflict between two armed groups that can be won or lost by either. A genocide is not something you win, it's a crime you commit until someone stops you and puts you in prison. Calling this a war only legitimizes what Israel is doing and deflects from the fact that it's an international humanitarian crime that can land Israelis in prison rather than a war that they can lose and drift off into the sunset and live their lives. Second thing, which is the other half of the substance of your comment, is that this did not start in 1948 but started in the late 1800s. Zionist in Europe collaborated with Nazis which is the reason why when Israel was created in 1948 the zionists were put in charge of things rather than actual jews. But in 1948 when a land without a people for a people without a land began, it was because hundreds of thousands of Palestinians had already been dislocated from their ancestral homes by the United Kingdom under their 30 year brutal occupation prior to 1948. Tens of thousands were executed for resistance that's when the population of Palestine began to be unarmed and removed from their farms. That's also the time when zionists from Europe began moving to Palestine I'm setting up illegal colonies in the vacated land. By the time 1948 came around there were already illegal colonies full of zionists set up in Palestine to ready to greet the incoming European Jews recently released from concentration camps where Western governments left them to languish for years in concentration camps without ever trying to rescue them. And when it came time to release them after the war was all over they refused to return these people to their property and homes in Europe and committed a soft genocide against the Jews by sending them to the Middle East with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Your belief that this started in 1948 is a common narrative because Western media is also owned by Western colonial governments that have been committing these crimes against the Palestinians long before they created the Israeli Colonial experiment out of thin air. Western governments and their own media are very happy having the rest of the world arguing over whether this started on October 7th in 1948 rather than acknowledging that they are the ones that started all of this in 1918 when they illegally gained control over the region of Palestine because their current Colonial oppressors, the Ottoman Empire fought a war against Western forces thousands of miles away and lost. When the UK government took control of Palestine they were mandated to humanely govern Palestine and Aid them in setting up an independent non-sectarian democratic government and do everything in their power to propel Palestine into a sovereign Democratic non-religious inclusive nation. Instead they committed the crimes of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and starvation on the native Palestinian population and set up illegal European colony and armed those Europeans while disarming the palestinians. You can't use the word war in this situation until some entity arms the 2 million + Palestinians that are being held captive in the Gaza prison. Once the other side is armed and can fight on an even Battlefield against their Israeli oppressors then you can call it a war. But until then it's just a humanitarian crime that needs to be stopped and the criminal terrorists committing these crimes against unarmed civilian populations are put in prison.
